I use them to get hold of Nitram when I'm at work.

Nitram, slightly high on cough syrup: Do you know you're beautiful?
Me: Nope, that's why I have you around to tell me.
Nitram: You -are- beautiful. Anyone tries to tell you otherwise kill them.

I get several marriage proposals via PM from the ladies every day.

aerius: I'll vote for you if you sleep with me. :)
Lusankya: Deal!
Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either. :P

Even after the last purge, my inbox is over 100 messages long. All PMs before February 1st, 2005 have been deleted, but there were at least 2 times that number. So, make that 300 PMs total, or 8 or so PMs a month.

Have a very nice day.

Never for either. Then, again, I haven't really been on here long enough to. :)

Once every couple of weeks; usually just random stuff, sometimes related to a current thread.

OT-- Chess tournament?! I never knew anything about a chess tournament! If another one arises, let me know.
A Government founded upon justice, and recognizing the equal rights of all men; claiming higher authority for existence, or sanction for its laws, that nature, reason, and the regularly ascertained will of the people; steadily refusing to put its sword and purse in the service of any religious creed or family is a standing offense to most of the Governments of the world, and to some narrow and bigoted people among ourselves.

Twice, ever. Once of which I forget the contents of, but it scared me the hell off the board for two years so whatever it was, it must have been really scary.

I feel lonely now.
Luckily, once my large capacity for inane comments results in universal, continuous sigging from every person, I will have subsumed into the whole and then the world will be mine!

Like Talen said, usually about once a week to/from him. Other than that, I rarely send or receive PM's.

I only get PM's when Rogue Ice is bored. :P
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

I usually only get about 1 unsolicited PM a month and then tack on one or two replies to PMs I send out. Generally I use it to talk about things with people I trust but would rather send it here than bother going through e-mail. So realistically I bet I've averaged about 3-4/month max.

I can't think of any reason to send or receive a PM. Well, there was one personal story that piqued my interest, but I decided not to go there for fear of being mawkish. If it's not the board's business, it's none of mine.

Hardly ever. Every 6 months or so there'll be a short PM exchange with some one and then that's it.

Not so many people asking about ACPATHNTDWATGODW anymore then :)

And when did you get the new title?

Hahah, no, I think they eventually gave up asking me. I'd always redirect them to fgalshroom anyway because I didn't have the text from the original ACPATHNTDWATGODW craziness handy and he did. :D

And congrats, you're the first to notice! It was bestowed upon me last night.

I thought that maybe if I was rude to you, you wouldn't send me anymore PMs. :P

Well, I have gotten like ten or something, from a whopping three different persons during my three year stay here (two of which has since been banned :?).

*goes to check*

*comes back*

Holy fuck! I have new messages! Firefox must have blocked the pop-ups that supposed to notify me... *goes off to write some answers*

Damn. I need to pop into G&C more often.

I've sent one to Durandal reguarding where I'm going to school, and a responce from him, and then one from some other person about a remark I made that Hillary Clinton couldn't win in '08. So that's 1 sent and 2 received.
