Charlie & The Chocolate Factory - New Trailer
37.4 MB, Quicktime.
Shows more of the film and isn't as cooky. Looks like I may be able to accept this even though I adored the original film. If anyone could do this, Burton and Depp could (glad it wasn't Marilyn Manson).

One of the more interesting things I saw for the film was movie posters of each of the mains. Barring the Oompa Loompa poster, I liked how the cast does look in terms of costume.
The trailer is also one of some better notion then the original...especially hearing more of Depp's voice.

I have tremendous faith in Depp's talent. The guy has done some remarkable work over the years. I love the original but I don't see anything cringeworthy in the previews I've seen so far for this one.

Looked forward to it before, very much more so now
"The rest of the poem plays upon that pun. On the contrary, says Catullus, although my verses are soft (molliculi ac parum pudici in line 8, reversing the play on words), they can arouse even limp old men. Should Furius and Aurelius have any remaining doubts about Catullus' virility, he offers to fuck them anally and orally to prove otherwise." - Catullus 16, Wikipedia
Johnny Depp can make even the shittiest movie good. Im sure this movie wont dissapoint.

It's the take being done for Willy Wonka, with the makeup and all
between this and the Corpse Bride, it will be a good year for Deep fans I think, can't wait for it to be out.

I admit that skimming through it with the sound off while it was loading, I actually mistook Depp for a woman before recognising him.Junghalli wrote:Does Jonny Depp look incredibly effeminate in the trailers, or is that just in my mind?
I believe in a sign of Zeta.

Does anyone else think that Willy Wonka looks like Alex from A Clockwork Orange?

Am I the only person who is extremely pessimistic about this one??
Something about anyone (let alone him) trying to re-do a Gene Wilder movie rubs me the wrong way.
(Yes, I know Matt Broderick is making a movie of The Producers, but for some reason I find that forgivable.)

xBF, you're certainly not the only one.
Also, Johnny Depp's voice and attitude from what I just saw really grates on me. To me, he doesn't seem a good Mr. Wonka at all. Obviously I'm in the minority here, but... ugh, he just comes off as a creepy effeminate guy with a pink suit. He doesn't have the same presence Gene Wilder did.
