We don't see star crushing powers in the movies. One of Exar Kun's lesser Sith used the weapon to destroy suns.

That in no way refutes my point.Imperial Overlord wrote:We don't see star crushing powers in the movies. One of Exar Kun's lesser Sith used the weapon to destroy suns.

There are psychic weapons in 40k too, the Blackstone fortresses (3 can destroy a star) would be a BAD example of this. I will see if I can get any better ones. They were created by the Old once (?) to combat the cet tan and have psychic conductors (remember that eldar got sucked in the 40k campaign).Ender wrote:That in no way refutes my point.Imperial Overlord wrote:We don't see star crushing powers in the movies. Oh look. Right back into derailing the thread with your delusion that this somehow changes things. Would you like to actually present a logical argument? Or will you again cowardly retreat and just pop up again to do it yet again?Imperial Overlord wrote:We don't see star crushing powers in the movies.

Old Ones, to fight the C'tan. But yes, you're right. The Fortresses are a lovely sign of the Old One's sheer, outright Psi-force and mastery of it. It is, also, rather cruel to note that the Sun Crusher is much smaller, but that's another debate.Glimmervoid wrote:There are psychic weapons in 40k too, the Blackstone fortresses (3 can destroy a star) would be a BAD example of this. Actually, IIRC the Eldar were the ones to build the Talismans.SirNitram wrote:Old Ones, to fight the C'tan. But yes, you're right. And, well, their main weapons are remarkably unpleasant, considering that they don't actually havea yield as such, they're simply a more refined form of vortex/distort weapon (ie. a controlled warp rift).

Well this debate is not going anywhere fast so we might as well debate it now.SirNitram wrote:Old Ones, to fight the C'tan. But yes, you're right. First unlike the suncrusher the Blackstone’s can be used as anti ship and anti planet weapons. 3 can destroy a star what could all 8 do.

It's all six, and the Sun Crusher's resonance torpedoes can be used against ships (although their effectiveness against shields is unknown).Glimmervoid wrote:First unlike the suncrusher the Blackstone’s can be used as anti ship and anti planet weapons. 3 can destroy a star what could all 8 do.

Are you shore it was not the eldar gods. I seem to remember it not being the eldar and so assumed old ones.Black Admiral wrote:Actually, IIRC the Eldar were the ones to build the Talismans.SirNitram wrote:Old Ones, to fight the C'tan. Ender brought it back up. All Sith star crushing was done with the weapon (and yes the EU has multiple star destroying weapons). Can they do it without the weapon? They never do to the extent of my knowledge.SirNitram wrote:Oh look. Right back into derailing the thread with your delusion that this somehow changes things. Unless you want to take “the power to destroy a planet is insignificant beside the power of the force.” You a right TMK.Imperial Overlord wrote:Ender brought it back up. The 'extent of your knowledge' has been demonstrated quite nicely to be jack and shit. Naga Shadow's power was made clear to you. And once again, you just reply 'I DID NUT SEE IT IN DA MOVIES!!!!', showing you have not gotten the point hammered home with a baseball bat.Imperial Overlord wrote:Ender brought it back up.
