It's only a matter of time...

I really need to work on the grand Conspiracy/Tabliod unification theory....

one part is that no tabloid article or conspiracy theory is more then six degrees of seperation from the Kennedy family....

ohhh, there is exactly as much of Terri's fore brain left in her skull as there was john kennedy's when he arrived at Parkland hostpial.

I first encountered that mindset in my HS freshman year, when a dumb-ass Southern Baptist argued that people who choose to end their lives to end their pain are rank cowards. "People should put their chin up and live with the pain!" to paraphrase the idiot.

I should have asked him if he could live the rest of his life if I were to secure his scrotum in alligator clips and hook the other end to a car battery.

He has evidently never lived in chronic pain. I live everyday in varying degrees of pain, and sometimes I would really like to crawl into a hole and die.

You should have done it to him and see if he could live with the pain.

Ironically, in the years following that argument, he was living with his ailing grandmother, who later died. I wonder what he would've thought of his old asinine anti-euthanasia rant.

It may have changed his opinion, depends how divorced from reality he was.

Alright, so who's the last person you wanted to see getting involved in this mess?
CNN wrote:PINELLAS PARK, Florida (CNN) -- The Rev. Jesse Jackson arrived Tuesday at Terri Schiavo's hospice and called on Florida lawmakers to have the brain-damaged woman's feeding tube reinserted.

"This is one of the profound moral, ethical issues of our time, the saving of Terri's life," the civil rights leader said. "And today we pray for a miracle."

Schiavo, 41, hasn't had water or nutrients since March 18 and is likely to die by week's end, doctors have said.

Jackson said he contacted Schiavo's husband and legal guardian, Michael Schiavo, to request a visit with her, but "he said he thought no."

Michael Schiavo had no immediate reaction to Jackson's comments.

Schiavo has said his wife would want the tube removed, and he has called on outsiders to stop trying to violate her wishes.

Jackson said he is "sensitive" to the struggles and pain that both Michael Schiavo and Terri Schiavo's parents and siblings, the Schindlers, are undergoing.

He said it is his belief that Terri Schiavo should be kept alive. "While law is important, law must be tempered with mercy to have justice," he said.

Jackson said he spoke with several state senators, pushing them to pass emergency legislation, and plans to contact more senators.

While he has sided with the Schindlers, Jackson said in a statement last week that he had "serious misgivings about the appropriateness of Congress intervening with the legal court process on a specific, individual matter."

That statement followed congressional legislation signed by President Bush that allowed federal courts to review state court decisions in the case. (Full story)

The federal courts refused to overturn the state courts' decision. (Full story)

In his statement, Jackson added, "a consistent moral and ethical position would extend a feeding tube to all who are confronted with starvation -- to demand public, government policy to feed the hungry."

Jackson traveled to Florida at the invitation of Bobby Schindler, Terri Schiavo's brother.

While Jackson was speaking to reporters, an apparent protester slipped past police into the heavily guarded hospice before he was arrested by police.

Officers used a Taser stun-gun to apprehend the man, who police said was Dow Pursley, a family therapist.

Capt. Sanfield Forseth with the Pinellas Park Police Department said the man would be taken to Pinellas County Jail and charged with attempted burglary and resisting arrest without violence.
Autopsy requested

Michael Schiavo has asked that an autopsy be performed on his wife after her death so that a full report can be done on the extent of her brain damage, his attorney said Monday.

Attorney George Felos said the autopsy will be performed by Dr. Jon Thogmartin, the chief medical examiner of Pinellas County.

Terri Schiavo collapsed in 1990 from cardiac arrest and suffered brain damage because of lack of oxygen. She has been in the center of a decade-long legal tug-of-war between her husband and guardian, Michael, and her parents, Bob and Mary Schindler.

Michael Schiavo maintains his wife would not want to be kept alive in her condition, while her parents claim she could improve with intense therapy.

Schindler supporters in Florida and Washington appealed Monday to have Terri Schiavo's feeding tube reinserted.

Bob Schindler spoke to reporters Monday after visiting his daughter at her hospice in Pinellas Park. "She's failing, but she's still with us," he said. "She has to be saved.

"I plead again that the powers-that-be don't give up on her. We haven't given up on her and she hasn't given up on us."

Terri Schiavo's sister said she "is wide awake and very responsive."

"She recognizes me," Suzanne Vitadamo said Monday. "She's weaker but she's still trying to talk."

Felos said he visited with Terri Schiavo Monday and that she appeared "very calm."

"I saw no evidence of bodily discomfort whatsoever," he said.

He said her condition had changed little from his last visit on Saturday.

"Terri's eyes do look more sunken," Felos said. "And her breathing was a little on the rapid side."

He described her pulse as "thready," or slow.

CNN's Bob Franken contributed to this report.
The fucker.

Reading the SB.com link provided in the Falwell thread, I noticed that Jerry the Hutt echoed the "she wasn't on life support" nonsense. What is it with these idiot strawman claims about the Schiavo case?

No, her breathing and other functions were not maintained by a machine, but wouldn't a feeding tube constitute life support? Seriously, she would be dead without the damned thing (no shit her body's dying now that it's been removed).

Florida law defines artificial nutrient or hydration equipment to be life support.

Wait, are you saying that Floridians do not have naturally occurring feeding tubes? Judging from the many examples of the species gargantua lardassimus that I saw when I was down there, I had always assumed that they were born with high-flowrate feeding tubes.

What should be interesting to see is the reaction of both sides to the results of the autopsy they've agreed to have done after that poor woman is finally dead.

One side is going to have egg all over their face, and if that brain scan posted earlier is any indication, it won't be Michael Schiavo.
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."- General Sir Charles Napier

Those would probably be gargantua lardassimus yankeensis. They migrate here every winter and return to their northern breeding grounds each summer. It may have been gargantua lardassimus juvenilus, which congregates in the coastal regions of Florida during Spring Break and early summer. If it was a whole family of gargantua, it could have been gargantua lardassimus lobsterbachis, which come over from Europe and don't realize the threat of UV rays; they tend to be pale white for about two days and bright red the rest of their stay.

And this whole post is a big  . We just want to know why you can shoot deer in deer season but not tourists is tourist season :D .

P.S. I will admit I am slightly overweight myself. I am probably a minimicrogargantua, since I need to lose about 8 kilos to get back to my "proper" weight.

What a fucking circus!
List of Schiavo Donors Will Be Sold by Direct-Marketing Firm
By DAVID D. KIRKPATRICK and JOHN SCHWARTZ

ASHINGTON, March 28 - The parents of Terri Schiavo have authorized a conservative direct-mailing firm to sell a list of their financial supporters, making it likely that thousands of strangers moved by her plight will receive a steady stream of solicitations from anti-abortion and conservative groups.

The lengths that FOXNews will go for propaganda is astounding. I was just flipping channels and they had an "interview" (and I use the word loosely) with an angelic looking blond boy in church clothes who appearantly was "arrested" for trying to bring Mrs. Schiavo water. It was a clearly artifical heart tugger where you could see the kids eyes panning over cue cards and talking in that monotone voice of something who doesn't know how to read from cue cards well. It was so fucking scripted it was insane. :x
