Anyway, there is nothing especially sexy about Viagra. You take Viagra sometime before you have sex. It can take up to 30 minutes before it starts to have an effect. You don't leave it around on the nightstand next to the bottle of bubbly, hoping that the woman will get instantly hot to trot after seeing it, shed her clothes and jump your bones.
Given how amazingly inept the rest of his contrived scenario was it seems to me like he'd be the type to leave the pills lying around. That's certainly what it seemed to imply at least.

Did anyone else get the strange sudden urge to punch him in the face.

I have gotten that feeling just about every time I have ever met a "young conservative". Nearly without exception, nearly every single one was some douche from a well off family and upscale neighbourhood who insisted that he made to university (where I most of them) all on his own and without any help from society or his privileged background.

Guys, this thread is veering dangerously close to no content "HURF-DURF REPUBLICAN" posts. So unless you got something to say on the topic, don't. Comments like the one made by Razorgeist will be oppressed.

Fair enough.

Back to James O'Keefe. I just wondering what exactly this guy has to do before he gets into serious trouble. He must have some very good lawyers.

This actually does make some bizarre sort of sense if you assume that this guy has swallowed his own koolaide about the evil leftists. This girl is a prominent part of the LIBERAL MEDIA, so of course she's going to be some sort of degenerate slut. Add in a total inexperience with women who were'nt bought and paid for, and hilarity ensues.

I am very glad that she was spared the horrible ickiness of having to endure O'Keefe's laughable seduction attempt, but a part of me wishes she hadn't been warned so that we could have seen O'Keef's Zap Brannigan routine followed by an epic smackdown. Then again, he seems like the type that would roofy her drink.

More than that, he has very good political connections to prominent right wing moguls, which is going to convince a lot of potential trouble to leave him alone.

He has also issued a non-apology where he basically blames everything on liberal media bias and takes no responsibility whatsoever. Shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.

He also places some of the blame on his fellow "journalist" (the one that gave the warning). Seriously, blaming a mate? That's pretty low. Wacky far right conservative ideology aside, betraying a friend is something everybody across the political spectrum finds pretty pathetic.

He's a Tea Party man-child who serves the cause by making heavily edited ambush videos where context isn't even in earshot and has them run on FOXNews. Of course he's going to blame everything on the girl, his integrity allows nothing else.

Keep in mind that his last escapade had him impersonating Phone workers, breaking into a sitting Senators office, and attempting to wiretap her phone... And he essentially got a MEDAL for it from very high up Republicans.

In any sane world this guy would have been thrown in jail for the Sh*t he pulled on ACORN last year. In our world he gets a slap on the wrist and throngs of supports on the far right.

Something that bugged me too is in the video where his cohort warned Abbie about the "punking" it sounded as though she had been threatened to some extent as she was visibly shaken.

I imagine anyone would be a little nervous upon being informed that you were being set up for something like that. Rape would enter my mind at least once. Yeah, we can laugh at the kid, but that's after the fact.

Which rather begs the question of why they're members of the Republican party at all rather than a party that actually fits their personal belief system. Or am I just too used to the British system, where publically disagreeing with the party leadership on anything is taboo?

Basically, they're probably Republicans because that's the closest fit to whatever they value. They could support a libertarian party, but chances are said party wouldn't get very far due to a lack of funding and/or broad appeal. The 'big two' also tend to co-opt planks from any competitor that looks like it's getting too popular.

It's also entirely possible they just don't think about the contradiction. My sister was pretty active in the College Republicans and from her descriptions (and behavior) it seemed like they were more of a venue for mindlessly parroting every talking point to come out of Fox News.
