He or she isn't a member yet, but I hope they will be one day
We had our first scan this morning. Everything seem's perfectly normal so far. Having another scan in seven weeks or so to make sure everything is normal then as well.

A decision must be made in the life of every nation at the very moment when the grasp of the enemy is at its throat. Then, it seems that the only way to survive is to use the means of the enemy, to rest survival upon what is expedient, to look the other way. Well, the answer to that is 'survival as what'? A country isn't a rock. It's not an extension of one's self. It's what it stands for. It's what it stands for when standing for something is the most difficult! - Chief Judge Haywood

Turns out it was a he, and he's here now.
Here's a photo:

Congratulations mate! The best of luck bringing him up.

Centurion: "Sir, I really think you should look at the other Battlestar."
Baltar: "What are you babbling about other...it's impossible!"
Centurion: "No. It is a Battlestar."
Corrax Entry 7:17: So you walk eternally through the shadow realms, standing against evil where all others falter. May your thirst for retribution never quench, may the blood on your sword never dry, and may we never need you again.
I hope the birth was properly celebrated with whiskey.

He looks a little young to start drinking.
Any city gets what it admires, will pay for, and, ultimately, deserves…We want and deserve tin-can architecture in a tinhorn culture. And we will probably be judged not by the monuments we build but by those we have destroyed.--Ada Louise Huxtable, "Farewell to Penn Station", New York Times editorial, 30 October 1963 X-Ray Blues

Congrats and good luck. Don't feel guilty if you catch yourself wondering if this was really such a good idea after all, I've yet to meet a parent who hasn't had moments like that.
Oh, and all the shows you watched when you were little and think are much better than the crap that's on TV now are probably on YouTube.
There are hardly any excesses of the most crazed psychopath that cannot easily be duplicated by a normal kindly family man who just comes in to work every day and has a job to do.

Replace "ginger" with "n*gger," and suddenly it become a lot less funny, doesn't it?

Apparently my dad did, but I don't drink (though I am certainly old enough).
And yes, American beer is terrible. Hence the drinking of British beer.

Oh they are. My little brothers watch Ivor the Engine (which I doubt anyone on here has ever heard of), and Thunderbirds and Stingray are all there. Saying that, Charlie and Lola is not a bad kids show
Also, thanks guys. My wife is coming home today as well. I cant wait. (there will be more pictures coming...)

Actually, I do remember Ivor the Engine; I think the BBC still repeats it every once in a while, in fact.
Thanks for reminding me, I've been meaning to provide my landlady's three year-old with an alternative to the in-name-only travesty that passes for Thomas the Tank-Engine these days.

Just out of curiosity... is there anyway to send it back?
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it. Blank Yellow (NSFW)

There's an RMA process, but man is it ever a pain. I think they do that on purpose.
And look - I've just about had it with you beereletists. American beer is perfectly servicable. Give that kid a Bud light and watch him grow into a strong, healthy Hutt.
I hope you bring him endless joy, and he does the same for you.
