If you have bad skin

If anyone here has problems with acne, here's something you can try that worked on me (so far).

Now, I've been struggling with really bad acne for years, but since I started doing this, my skin is nowhere near as oily as it's always been, and I haven't gotten any new pimples since then.

Buy yeast from the store. They usually come in a package containing three packets. Open two, pour the powder into a small container, and add a little bit of water and stir until you have a kind of paste.

Then rub it all over your face and let it dry. Once it's starting to feel tight on ths skin, keep it on for about 10 more minutes and then wash it off.

It will flake off a little, so try not to make a mess.

I should warn you- it's entirely possible that this is slowly drying out my skin-which is just as bad as acne- so I'm watching it very carefully. But so far, it just seems to be sucking out the excess oil and preventing new acne.

And yes, I am a heterosexual male.

Nonetheless, you have rediscovered the facial masque.

Good job! Men should take care of themselves, too. If you get tired of the mess there are commercial products availble, but on the other hand, with your method you know exactly what you're getting.

If your skin starts drying out I recommend Cetaphil lotion or cream - it's hypoallergenic, none-comedemic (does not encourage acne), and contains no perfumes or scents so you won't smell like a girl.

Wow...I wouldn't have thought of that at all. There are a lot of things I have heard about getting rid of acne when it gets there, but nothing like that. Where did you hear this? It's pretty interesting.

The best acne treatments, I've found, generally have the side effect of making your skin dry, aside from maybe Accu-tane (which makes you more likely to kill yourself instead, great tradeoff!). I use Differin Gel, which makes my skin agonizingly dry, especially during the winter.

I read it in the home remedy section of the Weekly World News 7 years ago. It actually was supposed to be brewer's yeast, and I've occasionally heard more references to it since then, so I finally tried it with the closest thing I could find.
