Where is she?

I know we all hate Voyager the show and all, but what happened to the ship after they all got back? We see Janeway in Nemesis, but nothing is said about Voyager itself.

Was the ship retired? Scrapped? Major overhaul and refits then put back into service? Anyone know?

Or what about the crew? The Maqee members in particular, where they allowed to continue on in Starfleet, or sent packing?

For all we know Voyager and the rest of the Fed fleet there was snacked on by a wondering space goat.

What should have happened was Voyager making it to earth in the second-to-last season, the last season used to show what ends up to Voyager back on Earth.

Then again B&B fucked Voyager up from day one, most of us would have liked the space goat ending.

That would have left a rather anti-climatic ending to the series. The whole point was to get them home. Granted they ought to have shown something more, but maybe B&B's 'logic' was that by leaving something hanging they have potential for a movie. :?

No the best ending would have been a reconning like that at the end of the oddessy....

Fed. Judges: They are all Maquee Sympasizers and Traitors
Chakotay: Your the real traitors

*The whole of voyager's crew kills everyone at starfleet command, Tuvok starts incorperating the chow yun-fat twin phasor's mojo, Also since phasors are impossible to aim anyways, everyone else starts adopting the quinten taritino sideways shooting style, and actually hit something....

True, but then Voyager should have never been stranded in the first place. (They're called timed explosives Janeway, you dumb bitch. :finger:)

Oh, and if you mention anything even hinting at a Voyager movie again I'll have RayCav sodomize you.

voyager should have ended like this....

Voyager is hit by an imcoming shuttle as it enters the earths atmosphere and falls to the ground creating a giant crater. After we get to see an epilogue that says.

The uss voyager , a state of the art starship crashed into the grounds of starfleet command, all hands including the
captain was lost, the ship, unsalvagable. We now switch to a
live broadcast of...

Berman and Braga, The UPN Executives, and the head of paramount CEO getting tortured by rednecks with plasma torches....

Is that book any good?

I mostly gave up on the show a long time ago but their return home could be interesting (as long as they stay away from "Janeway is such a genius captain" style wanking).

Why is it that all the Trek captain have to be seen as "shit hot". Can't there be any mediocre or poor ones? Besides Archer that is. :-) At least with him they haven't started putting him on a pedestal already.

Voyager could be janeways personal ship for all we know?

You know how admirals like the ships they served on when they were younger? well janeway might have just kept the spoonish looking ship?

After Voyager got home, it was immediately impounded in the StarFleet DMV. Chakotay is still in line to get it released, having been constantly sent to the back of the line by the apathetic grouchy old women who work there that spend more time talking to their co-workers about their crummy lives than actually help people.

Another "me too" +1 thread.
One would think people would get tired of typing
that they hate Voyager, B&B etc.
This thread is fit to be locked.

So far it is. I've been waiting for it to come out for some time. There's a part 2 that's already out as well. If you're interested in Voyager, I'd recommend the book highly.

No, you don't get any of that in this book. The Voyager crew finds that while everyone is happy they've returned, they're not really on the forefront of everyone's mind because the Dominion War just ended.

Actually, for thoe that watched Voyager and was a fan of it like I am, we do get that in the last seasons. We have Chakotay disagreeing with Janeway in her treatment of the Equinox crew, which we'd NEVER see from suckass Riker if Picard farted wrong. Janeway was a strong character, despite the "me toos" to the contray. I've always said this was the most fun Trek has been (for me) since TOS.

I'll never understand that about you Poe. To me every episode of Voyager I've ever seen is infuriating and derivative, or just plain turgid with technobabble. Especially ones revolving around Ensign Kim. And how many fucking times in the TNG era do we have to put up with stories about a crew member being held hostage on an alien planet to save their pathetic race etc etc?

Oh come now. How many holodeck traps the crew episodes were there in TNG?

Voyager was fun, and LESS inclined to technobabble than TNG! It was still present, of course, but not more so than TNG or DS9. I don't want to go into a whole diatribe about Why I Like Voyager though. Let's keep it on topic.

I haven't finished the book, but as I said, so far it treats Voyager's return to Earth very well. Has anyone else read it?

Quit your bitching, little man...
This is exactly what I'm talking about. You call that contributing to the
thread? All you did was waste board space with that.
As for my 'bitching' I am fully entitled to do so. Look around the Pure
Star Trek forum. Who do you see actually trying to make this a Trek TALK forum, rather than a bash B&B center? ME thats who. I start topics meant for discussionI do not start whine fests. If Trek fans acted in PSW
the way people act in PST, it would be called spam.
If you do not like it, to bad.

You know, I'm not the mod in this forum, but I'll just say three things:

1. B&B deserve every invective tossed their way. They've run Star Trek, something quite a few people on this board love (or used to love) into the ground. And whether or not you chose to accept it, their version of Trek is crap. Voyager was bad, Enterprise was worse. The critics have said so, the general public (to judge by the ratings) has said so, and the overwhelming majority of Trek fans have said so. That a few diehards are willing to watch anything with the Star Trek name on it doesn't change that. Which brings us to you.

2. Just because people here badmouth current Trek doesn't mean they hate Star Trek. Yeah, undoubtedly there are some me-toos running around here, and some people who never liked Trek, but most of the people in this forum, including the moderators, share a love for what Star Trek used to be and a loathing for what it's become. A lot of the B&B badmouthing is bitterness at what they've done to our franchise, not gloating. And again, I'm not this forum's mod, so I won't presume to "correct" your behavior like a schoolmarm, but I'm getting awfully tired of you accusing everybody who badmouths current Trek of spamming and me-tooing and whatever else. Frankly, the mindless fans who'd pay to watch a turd bobbing in a toilet if it had a Starfleet logo on it share more responsibility for the decline of Trek than the critics do. Maybe if people would stop defending B&B for making shit, they'd have to make a better product if they wanted to keep their jobs. Or better yet, Paramount would realize they're a pair of hacks and replace them with somebody who knows what the fuck they're doing.

3. It's not your place to lecture other members about their posting behavior. It's especially not your place to accuse people with FORTY-TWO times your post count of spamming the board because they rightly told you to shut the fuck up. And it's most definitely not your place to tell the mods which threads ought to be locked. You can make a point about mindless Trek-bashing without being a dick. If I were you, I'd try, because you're not going to make friends the other way.

Thanks very much for your opinion Red. Care to clear up a few points?
Yeah, undoubetly there are some me toos running around here
I know. And I seem to recall reading an annoucment that said to
stop doing that...and you were the one who wrote it. Ain't this
something? the guy makes an announcment telling people to
stop me-tooing and then he tells me I should not even comment
when I see people doing it.

As for the comment about B&B runnning Trek into the ground, all
I can say is Berman has kept Trek in production since 1991 and
Braga helped him gross 281, 012,773 at the box office.
Name ONE other fiction show that has been around since 91.
That is what you call running something into the ground?

Glancing over your post I see the standard "you must worship all
people with big post count" stuff standard newcomer tradition in
most places *yawn*

By the way, I did not give any mods an order. I commented that
in accordance with your announcment that all the me tooing
should be stopped. If you did not like hearing it, I do not care.

Quantity!=Quality

There's more plot packed into 5 seasons of Babylon 5 than 7 of TNG.
