How powerful are the HTL on a Star Destoyer?

The Heavy Turbo Lasers on a SD are bigger than the ones on a Acclamator, suggesting a higher yield, so how powerful are they?

No specifics are out on that one. I think it's fair to assume that they're at least 200 gigatons. There's a nice argument using some WOTC figures (HDS knows the specifics on that one) that hint at yields of greater than teraton level, though.

I personally go my the Heavy Quadlasers being 200 GT, and made up of 4 LTLs. So thats 50 GT a LTL. And there is the 125x scaler based on the ROTJ clip, so I end up with 6250 Gigatons (GT) per shot from a single cannon. That seems off until you look at the other numbers. 200 Gt - PT (peraton) level made is nice middle of the road stuff. Factor in that there are 5 cannons in a battery, you end up with 31250 GT per battery shot.

There are only 6 HTLs on an ISD-I 9the 2 others are referred to as ion cannons", half that of the Acclamator's HTLs, meaning they should have at least twice as much power, at 400GT. Since the ISD is larger, and has more psace devoted to weapons, I'd say they're in the high GT- low TT range, though I'm fine with 400GT.

The Quadlasers on the Acclamator are significantly larger than LTL's... and the 200 GT refers to each individual barrel, so that would be 800 GT per Quadlaser battery.

I think you mean "Petaton"... and how is that "middle of the road"?
Factor in that there are 5 cannons in a battery
Four, for ISD-2 HTL turrets. There are five cannons in an LTL battery.

Oops, there are EIGHT barrels on an ISD-II HTL turret, not four. Sorry.

When I was working on scaling blasters to LTL's (which I rated at 6 MTs), and then figuring out what the ratio of size:power was, I came up with an exponential increase as size doubled. When I then used this to scale the LTL's against the HTL's on Imperator class ships, I came up with an enormous figure. Yottaton range.
This is speculative, I know, the ratio might change as the size increases, or blasters and turbolasers might use different mechanisms, while turbolasers and HTL's use the same mechanism, but it is reasonable, given what we know and understand about HTL's and other turbolasers. Don't use this in debate, but it is kind of interesting.

Stupid typos. Relative to Petaton level shots, I'd say a few thousand GT is very middle of the road.

Converted WOTC stats give us around 2500 Gigatons per HTL, so thats 80 Teratons per broadside.
There is also some WEG stats, wich I think are bit more powerfull.

All right, that's better. I was confused because it seemed like you had skipped teratons and exatons.
