What the fuck were they thinking? Although I'm just running my mouth to hear my gums slap together with this, that plane will never fly again. I can't imagine someone devoting the time and money it would take.

Private collectors would spent the time and money to restoring it (at least to museum(sp) floor piece) if their government(s) would allow them to buy or borrow it.

It's better off having been buried. At least there's something left. Had that plane been sitting on the ramp during the war... well, it would now be in lots of very tiny burnt peices.
