What would you like to discuss about them?

1)they're cool.

2)red alert series is better than tibsun series.

3)is generals better than the rest?

4)what technology would you most like to have?

1.) Yes they are

2.) true.

3.) No way in hell

4.) RA2 allied chrono tech.

4)what technology would you most like to have?
1) yep!

2) RA1 and RA2 were both better, but I'd love to see RA1 redone using the tibsun game engine

3) I've played it a whole... two times, so I can't say. I love the nukes explosion, but I like the RA2 nuke after-effect radiation more.

4) the cheap near-instant industy. If I could set up a little hanger-looking thing that puts out a tank every 2 min, I would be the leader of the fukin world

oh, and one to add:

5) Which one is the best and why.

I'd like to get one, but I want one no less lacking in features as AoK. Does that make sense?

Fuck no Rye. The Tiberium timeline is infinately better that RA.

Na, RA is best! It seems ALMOST more plausabile, I mean, which is closer to reality: Time travel (which could have happened at any time in the future, but you play the results during a DIFFERENT ww2), or some green stuff that came from space and kills anyone who stands on it?

Could Generals have been a precursor to the Tiberian series? Maybe.

And most say that RA1 was the best of the CnC series.

No, Generals is supposed to be a completely different timeline (something like the near future, I think). If I can find the quote I will post it.
And most say that RA1 was the best of the CnC series.
YEAH! RA1 ALL THE WAY! I recently played that game again, and DAMN it's easy after surviving the confusion of TS and RA2 (I haven't played Generals much, so I can't say about that). I mean, there's only 2 columns on the menu bar (as opposed to the RA2 4 catagories thing), and like 30 units total. Now we have 100s of different options, advanced AI, and all kinds of computer-slowing crap...

The hell does everyone knock 98 for?...Are people so zombie-esque that they refuse to see that with Xp, Microsoft weans that bit closer to owning your soul in the fucking eula? They all but say 'Oh, and we own your soul for buying this' By which time, you've already agreed to the contract because to open the box and to read it is to agree to it...

With 98, at least you have control over your own machine...What is the heart of a pc? DOS. What does Xp try and lock out? (Albeit futily for those who are quick of finger) DOS.

It's simple..they're trying to force everyone into their way of thinking...wouldn't be surprised if the RIAA is in with them

This is the wrong thread for this, but uh, I know. With Service Pack 1, you sign an agreement that says pretty much "we can fuck with your computer ANYTIME we want for any REASON we want, and there's nothing you can do about it if we find something bad (like warez, or uh, illegal porn or something)

Sucks, but that's how Windows is. I have Win 98 SE on my 3rd old box (not the one that I'm trying to get working, but an older one). I'm nost completely stupid.

Oh and, goodbye everyone, It is 6:17 AM Tuesday, I probably will not be able to visit this site until sometime Thursday!

1) Yeah

2) When you add the expansions to the actual game, it's all good, I've never seen TibSun though.

3) Generals is good, but doesn't have the feel of the older ones.

4) Iron Curtain, I'd like to be invulnerable for a minute or two.

As for the Win 95 themes, I like the ingame theme.

well i expected lots more of that actually... but i still like playing ra2 way more than tibsun.

You'd have to cast it on your car though cos it'd kill you outright if you used it on you.

5) most fun thing to do in any cnc game?

RA2 - making a box of tanks of all sorts, with a space in the middle, chronoshit their ore truck into the middle.

intensely irritating, but very funny.

I'm not a big C&C player myself but my cousin works for EA and he is the art director for C&C 3... I have seen the concept art for it. It looks really good. The guy who designed boba fett is working with him.

On that note, in RA1 I used to chronoshift cruisers to within firing range of the other's base. Fun fun fun

If you use the automatic Windows Update system. You do not have to use it; you should regularly check the main site or subscribe to the security mailing list anyways. W2K SP4 apparently has revised their EULA to make it more clear; it may carry over into W2K SP2.
