This is great news, especially given the decision last year that held games to not be speech. Not only that, but the court praised games with interactive storylines.

It does rather make sense considering that those choose your own path books are interactive and still considered books and speech.

I should also add that the court case ruling video games to not be protected speech was based on four games: Doom, Fear Effect, Mortal Combat (sic), and (get ready for this one) The Resident of Evil Creek (sic).

Someone should have had the judge play Deus Ex, a game with an involving conspiracy storyline, many situations with multiple solutions, a choose-your-own ending, and an immersive first person view.
