Falcon's First Contact

This is probably old news, but I just read a bit of trivia that says the ILM guys who put together the battle with the Borg in ST:FC threw the Millennium Falcon into the fight as a joke. What I want to know is has anyone here tried to verify this? Has anyone actually seen the Falcon?

Believe you me, we've tried, but havn't found it thus far. Came close on one or two instances, but those just turned out to be wrecked Constitutions with just enough mangling to imitate the forward prongs.

Works fine for me. While that shape does resemble an YT-1300 it lacks the detail to really identify it for certain. It might just be something totally different that, when looked at a distance from a certain angle, looks like the Falcon.

The lump underneath of the image puts me more in mind of a steamrunner class ship than the falcon, I can't think of any other ship that even comes close to matching that, maybe a miranda but it doesnt look quite right.

I see the cockpit and the darker shade the distinguishes the mandibles. Its the falcon

Definately the Falcon. The forward prongs are quite clearly there, no just some battle damage.

after looking at it a little more, it definitely looks to be an akira. What people think are the mandibles are just one of the secondary hulls, a warp nacelle, and the pylon connecting the two. That would explain why the "gap" represented by the dark area is somewhat triangular shaped and extends further into the saucer than it should. What people are seeing as the cockpit would be the other secondary hull.

It does look like the Falcon to me, but could just as easily be a Sabre-class escort. What direction was it moving? To the left, or to the right? If it was the former, it's a Falcon.

Besides which, George Lucas would've sued Paramount's ass off if they had appropriated the Millenium Falcon for a Star Trek film.

if it was an easter egg by ILM, I don't think Paramount would be held responsible for it.

There are stories of Trek ships in some or all of SW movies as easter eggs,did my best to see if i could see some but i never found one.

so if there ar a few ST ships in SW and one or two SW ships in ST then Lucas would be hipocrite to sue.

Oh, hell, anyone know how to take a screencap out of a .mkv file? VirtualDub won't recognize the format and MPC crashes when I try to take a screenshot.

I've got a high-res version of First Contact, and it definitely looks like the Falcon.

At first it doesn't look like the Falcon because I think it's flying to the right. Now if it's flying to the left, then it certainly does start to look like the Falcon.

So, First Contact DVD owners which direction is it flying?

John Knoll said that he put a CGI model of the Enterprise somewhere on Coruscant in TPM. That's the only Star Trek ship in a Star Wars film.
