I was wondering if Paramount is intending to make a reedited version of TOS with additional computer generated scenes ala OT? It wouldn't surprise me if they did.

you'd have to replace all effects to not contrast with the orginal TOS (60's TV had rather different effects then 70's-80's movies).

could somebody post a pic of a phaser hit and a pic of a blaster/laser/TL hit for comparison.

I doubt it. It would be too big and investments for what paramount (I don’t care about what they say they think) see as a failing franchise.
