Disproofs that there was a global flood, or that it is responsioble for all geology?

For the latter, try terrestrial, or lacustrine deposits. (i.e. deposits clearly not cause by a world wide sea)

Try the kinetic energy of all those raindrop falling from the sky - enough to boil millions of gallons of water and turn the Earth into a scalding steam bath.

Fairly certain you've replied to something I've said...

As I'm lovely and undeserving of meanness, I'm assuming that's a friendly poke (showing my newbieness).

Actually, I'm from CWorg, but I'm one of the opposition there...

"The flood was caused by a shift in the eath's axis!"

And apparently it wasn't raining the rivers shifted

You wouldn't believe the wall of ignorance...

WTF? If that happened the total amount of water wouldn't have changed. Fricking morons.

Yes, that was a friendly poke. Welcome to SD.net, where you can get your fill of sci-fi, science, and mockery of stupid people. Hopefully you'll enjoy this place more than that hellhole where all dissenting opinions are squashed. :)

I thought they thought that they ice caps melted, a la waterworld

Of course the ice caps haven't always been there - Greenhouse phases have been common in the Quaternary, and there was still land.

I find, the more I learn about palaeontology, the harder it is to argue with Creationists... 'coz of the widening knowledge gap.

Yes summaition

1. Where did the Water Come From?

2. Where did it Go?

3. How could disease have surived... As we know Ebola and HIV have been around for at least 4000 Years(Egyptian Text discovered a year or two back reference diseases people died from and two sounded very similar to HIV and Ebola plus of course Cancer)

4. Now every single Creature on the Arc had to be suffering from over 500 Anilmats, some of which should have killed them on the vouage(How about Polo and Flesh eating Bateria? Think they could have been walking and talking with JUST those two? Never mind the Black Death and gonaria)

5.No where else is it recored about the Gobola flood, and how did any Freshwater species survive with the giant Ocean of SALT Water?

6.How did Noah and Co make it from the Middle East to Eygpt in two years AND South Afirca to build Temples there as well? Not to mention the Estoina Stone-men and Stone Hedge

Melt all the icecaps, and you still don't have enough water to cover the whole Earth...

How did all the species from the New World make it over to Noah?
What did he do with all the poop from all the animals?
What did he feed them?
If the dinosaurs shared the Earth with man, how many were on the Ark.
Why did they die out after that?

How did Noah get the animals?

Where did the water come from?

How did they water remain where it was without blocking out the sun, being boiled and poaching Noah and company, or changing the Earth's climate?

What caused the water to fall? (If the mention God, tell them that eliminates any scientific validity)

How did the water fall without boiling the oceans?

Where did the water go?

How did Noah build such an ark?

How come there are trees that are older than the flood? They couldn't have survived under all the water.

How did Noah repopulate the Earth in time for the building of the pyramids?

How come for the most part, fossils are arranged by age, and not by composition? If there was a flood, bronze tools should be at the bottom, and birds at the top.

How did Noah get the animals back to their habitats?

The list goes on...

How did the water dissipate without boiling Noah and company alive? Where did all the water vapor go?
