Frakes and Sirtis to guest star on Enterprise

Post by Atavarius »

Just read on /. that Johnathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis are going to guest star on the season finale of Enterprise.

TrekToday link.

It has been confirmed on Sirtis' official website. Can it get any worse?

I wonder how the hell B&B will write them in? Surely they won't be their Next Gen characters. If they were... weird. Hopefully they will just play normalish roles who just happen to look like Riker and Troi.
One possibility: time fucking travel. This is B&B we're talking about, here. Hope I'm wrong (not that I'm watching Enterprise anymore).

The news was first reported on the long-running official web site of Sirtis. "Marina and Jonathan Frakes will reprise their roles as guest stars on Enterprise season finale," the site's administrator wrote in an announcement posted on the message board of the site. The adminstrator then went on to announce several upcoming personal appearances by Sirtis, including one at the Superstar Autograph Show in Valley Forge, Pa, at the end of May.
It'll be a goddamn time travel ep. Hopefully some good will come from it and we'll see what class the USS Titan is.

Looks like its going to be Counselor Troi and Commander Riker.
Enterprise showrunner Manny Coto recently revealed the series' season finale was being written by Rick Berman and Brannon Braga, but provided no information on the episode's storyline.
With those asshats at the helm I would bet on time travel.

For a show that's about Trekking the Stars, they do seem to spend an inordinate amount of time travelling... er, time. Rather badly too, I might add. Not that I had to add it, redundant statement that it is. :)

OOooh I hope they design us a new 24th Century class for the Titan. (If we get to see it)
Enterprise showrunner Manny Coto recently revealed the series' season finale was being written by Rick Berman and Brannon Braga, but provided no information on the episode's storyline. The episode would presumably start filming in early March.
I guess this says it all!

They seem to knock enough alien of the week ships out on Enterprise now, I'm sure they could make a special effort for the titan, but I'm guessing they'll go lame and use an existing model, indeed. Bastards.

Why are they letting B&B write it? I can only imagine it's going to be the last ever episode or something, so somehow they wormed their way onto it.

Aw for fucks sakes! :(

Funny, I just read the other day some little bit about the season finale, and B+B writing it? First thought was, why the hell are those two involved, I thought Coto was running the show now?

This some sort of Golden Parachute, to have their names attached to what might be the final episode - ever?

This IS the end now :(

Shouldn't that be Captain Riker?

Time travel from a pre-Nemesis Riker & Troi? Or just using the rank most fans are familiar with?

What is with Enterprise's obsession with linking everything to "modern" ie 24th century Federation.

We have a Brent Spiner character who just happens to be the ancestor of Data's creator, the Ferengi, Klingons before the Federation was meant to have met them, and now apparently they are trying to link in to Riker and Troi.

Maybe it's Tom Riker who escaped from the Cardassian during the Dominion War and got himself slingshot through time only to arrive at Ent's period... along with Deanna's transporter clone, Britney Troi. :S

Let's not forget the upcoming Mirror Universe and the apparent apperance of the Defiant from TOS' The Tholian Web.

Yeah, lets not :P

Which, somehow now has crew surviving, despite Jim Kirk boarding the ship in the 23rd century and sweeping the ship, finding every single person DEAD.....

Well, according to rumor, the Defiant was originally meant to be the ship that the Tholians were trying to recover in Season 2's Future Tense; they were unable to do this due to the costs of recreating TOS-sets (Trials and Tribble-ations was a special case since it was the 30th ann.)

the only way i could see this somehow working out to where it wouldn't be silly is if troi and riker were conducting some seminar on the history of the Enterprise nx-01 with flashbacks intertwined in the episode. anything else would be too silly to consider.

I'm betting that it'll be a shuttle accident to be honest, saves on the budget as they can just use one of the old models rather than having to create a new ship or something. The appearance of a ship like a galaxy class in ENT can only end in the big red reset button.

Maybe the season finale is the SERIES finale of Enterprise with a new series centering on USS Titan set in the post Nemesis era.

Gah. But...but...Argh, I don't think I want to see THAT either.

Oh well, I haven't watched Enterprise since last season (and only once or twice then), and I assume that if the Titan shows up in this episode someone will let us know what ship class it is...and that's the only reason I can see watching the episode.

Indeed; just go with the Titan novel Taking Wing instead:
