Nemesis replacement

So do you think that replacing Tom Hardy, who played the shitty Romulan Picard clone, with Patrick Stewart have been a good idea?
Number one advantage I can think of is that we don't have to put up with Tom Hardy's shitty acting job. Now sure there are alot of other things that need to be fixed but is this not a great start?

Think of how much BS crap we could easily dispose of, such as the silly armor Shinzon wears, the discrepency of the young Picard picture, which was Tam Hardy. Plus the Picard clone would actually look like Picard since the same actor would be playing them both. Also the acting instantly becomes better. Shinzon should have been much more like Picard in knowledge but with a dark twist to him. Basically I think he should have been similar to a mirror universe Picard, which Shinzon was not in the very least.

The first thing I would replace would be the script.

Maybe find an actor who actually looked like Picard.

easy just make it so that the clone was aged to Picards age, instead of him being younger.

I don't think Hardy was a bad choice. His material sucked and he did the best he could with it. To reference another great franchise "You can write this stuff, but you can't say it."

A better script is the solution.

Pfft, cgi and makeup can fix old age in movies. And by that I mean that Stewart could have carried out the job.

What irritated me was when they showed a picture of Picard from his academy days and its merely a shot of Tom Hardy in a TOS movie era jump suit (ok, that they used the right uniform did impress me) and bald as hell. WTF!?!? We already know thanks to Q that Picard had a full head of hair back in the days.

Who knows, I have a fuller head of hair sometimes and sometimes I put a razor to my head... depends on the time of year yadda yadda, the bald head 'inconsistency' didn't bother me one bit.

Shinzon should have been Picards age and a recent clone, how the hell did the romulans know back when he was born that Picard might go on to become captain of the flagship? Though I suppose making him Picards age would mean all that bollocks backstory about how he grew up with remans mightn't of worked.

Nemesis is shit.

and there is yet another positive in making a clone that was aged super fast to match Picards age, we loose the whole growing up with the Remans stupidity.
