The E-J is one ugly ship

I'll definitely agree with that, although the TOS-inspired Bussard scoops add somewhat of a charm to the ship...

Gee, can't wait to NOT watch the show that uses that ugly piece of shit.

Its actualy one of the more logical starship designs. A primary hull in a rather efficent and structural strong shape with just the engines behind it. I don't mind the E-J all that much.

Well whoop de shit. Its canon and you don't have any say in it.
Course the calendar itself isn't canon. But someone had to give the makers a proper design to work off of for the Enterprise-J, so the design as shown is likely legit.

first glance I thought it is ugly but looking closer a second time, I still don't like it as much as the previous designs of the Enterprise, but I do like how different it is. Looks like the engineering sections is on top adn more to the front of the saucer section.

Why is it that with each version of the Enterprise, they make the nacelles look weaker and weaker?

They should have called that design the Galaxy, it would be much more appropriate.

I dunno, the C's nacelles looked pretty tough. Of course, the C itself looks pretty flippin' tough. But except for that exception I must agree.

With paper thin supports to the warp engines. Any kind of resistance and I wouldn't be surprised if those warp engines tear themselves off.

It's a fucking hubcap with warp nacelles stuck on.

That saucer hull is so flat that those windows look like they'd be on the ceiling.

Who the fuck looks at the galaxy and thinks "You know what would be cool, if you made the sauser bigger and the engine part smaller"

It looks like the saucer is 2d. The lighting just looks wrong. Hell, the texture on the saucer is just plain blurry and impossible to make out. And I can't tell quite how it attaches to the rest of the hull, it looks like it just sits under it.

OK, 'fess up, who slashdotted the server?

I can understand if the nacelles got smaller cause technology improved so that they don't need that much space for them, but they could move them closer to the main body maybe, even if that'd lose more of the "classic Enterprise shape."

I don't know, I thought it looked somewhat better than the Enterprise-E (note that it doesn't mean that I like it). A rather sleek (but weird design).

It looks to me like someone took a fucked up futuristic version of a Klingon ship and then glued a squashed saucer section underneath it.

That's one ugly ship. Looks like a mosquito. What a disgrace to the name Enterprise.

The fleet museum image is using the wrong type of Excelsior class for the Ent-B... ah well.

I agree, it doesn't look particularly good. Looks kinda B5-ish to me.
Oh and the Steamrunner is cool. the Intrepid class looks like a lazy prostitute.

I think they
are on the ceiling!
Flat as a pancake that thing. Nice, big bullseye if your coming from above.
Only nice thing are those TOS-style nacelles.
