The Borg Collective is not a military orgnaization intent on political conquest, wealth or power. They're simply interested in technological and biological distinctiveness, both of which the Federation possesses little of that is unique or piques the Collective's interest. The fact that the Borg Collective can antagonize thousands of races/organizations/empires at the same time without fear of practical counter attack or anyone stopping them speaks volumes of their superiority as a conventional power in Trek. And yes, I'm well aware of Species 8472. Exceptions don't make the rule.
2- Should be understood that the Borg have enough power to lay waste/assimilate the whole Alpha quadrant but they just don´t use it?.
Again, see above.
3- Why did they have problems dealing with Species 8472?. Couldn´t they just destroy them and that´s it?.
Superior firepower. Just nine bioships can fragment a Borg planet. Immunity to assimilation only makes the job vastly more difficult for the Borg. The Borg do not innovate or think creativity, they rely primarily upon brute force tactics to acquire any technology or species that piques their interest. If the enemy is more powerful and adaptive then they are, they're pretty much screwed.
4- I never got the whole shield adaptation/variation thing. You can´t shoot them twice with the same weapon?.
Technically, you can. At least with freqeuncy specific weapons capable of changing frequencies quickly. But that only works for a short time, after which your troops will complain it's like firing blanks at the enemy.
5- Aren´t the drones supposed to be completely efficient in what they do?.
No reason to assume they aren't.
In boarding actions and stuff, they only react when threatened.
Again, the Borg Collective is not a military organization, thus analysing them in that light is obviously going to suffer them good impressions. What's more important is to gauge their actual effectiveness as boarding parties against enemies to date. Which typically has said Borg boarding parties kicking the shit out of the enemy. Note FC for example, and that was even against non typical Federation personnel, like Data and Worf.
And frankly, Borg boarding parties is not the primary method of accomplishing their objectives. Losing a vessel has been the only reason as yet seen to date as to why the Borg beam over a "boarding" parties. When we see the Borg engage an enemy fleet with the intent of assimilating enemy personnel, what they prefer to do is beam enemy units onto their ships, stripping them of weaponry and armor and filing them into assimilation chambers (ref STVOY "Dark Frontier").
Why don´t the drones engage directly the enemy instead waiting for the enemy to do something and be actually noticed?.
The Borg work on a "hive mentality". Either objects/persons are a threat or target. If not meeting either of those criteria, they ignore them.
