Just saw that retarded ENT episode with the holodeck again

I can't get over how B & B think the word "photonic" is so great. Since Voyager, we have holograms everywhere! They're even new life forms. Why the fuck did they need to put them into ENT? Good god...

i blame the brainbug of the week phenomenon that star trek seems to have acquired when under B&B production.

Interestingly the Federation did not develop holodeck technology. They learned it from another species in the Enterprise episode "Unexpecte". The Klingons also learned from the same source.

I think that's what Superman's on about.

I like Voyager's favourite word: "Quantum."

IIRC, holographic/holodeck-technology wasn´t developed until the time of TNG.

So we have another shit on continuity.

Errr........No. The Enterprise on ENT doesn't have a holodeck IIRC they just saw aleins with holodecks.

Did the holodeck break down and try to kill anyone?

weren't they discussing an exchange of technology with the aliens, though?

Not IIRC. They had to give the klingons the holotech in return for not killing them.

And they needed how long to get that technology on their own ships? 150 years? While the Klingons got it for free and don´t seem to use it?

Just vecause you know something is possible doesn't mean you can do it emmediatly. I mean man knew flying was possible ever since we saw birds. How long did it take us to learn how to fly?

I don't think that they gave the Klingons. I think that they were supposed to but ended up not doing so. My memory is foggy though.

Edit: after thinking about it, I think that what I had posted was wrong and that at the end of the episode we see them showing the Klingons it.

Probably gave 'em their cloaking device instead.

The holodeck impregnated Tucker after he spent some time with Xyrillian female.

The Klingons threatened to destroy the Xyrillian ship. In order to save their lives they gave them the holodeck technology.

What would that be? Progress?

What absolute twaddle.

Riker, a high ranking officer, second in command of the Federation flagship was amazed when he stepped foot in the holodeck (The First Episode, with Data). In a few of those wank dixon episodes later, Crusher was like a child in there, as if it was something she has never seen the likes of before. There is no way that the feds would have had that tech for 150 years before even showing it to anyone.

(funny though how, in trek time, about 10 years later, Harry Kim talks about Holodecks in the Episode Futures End as if they are all that has been known as entertainment for centuries 'I can't imagine not being part of the story, just watching' he says viewing TV transmissions)

Evilcat, the holodeck didn't impregnate him, the female did when he had his hands in that bowl of bloody rice or something.

It was a bowl of pebbles, generated by the holodeck.
