Enterprise Season Premiere and some S4 info (SPOILERS)

Post by Atavarius »

Don't look up my dress.

I am simply amazed at how stupid this sounds. I actually enjoyed some of season 3, but this is making me cringe.

Dressed.

Harkening back to TOS? Characters we know? Why do I feel a Janeway guest spot coming on...

I fail to see whats wrong. This alien nazi arch sounds interesting, plus it's got the temporal cold war. :)

Err, space nazis are overdone. Dealing with real nazis should be left to historical shows, or at best something like Dr Who, rather than Trek, which is meant to be about exploring space not fighting Nazism.

Shit. If this is true, than it was 1944 that Archer was in, not Nazis brought to the future. Can't they come up with anything original anymore?

Makes you wonder if they're blissfully unaware of the non-quality of the tripe they're producing, or if they just don't give a shit and assume Trekkies will watch it anyway.

Thank God it's being moved to Friday nights opposite Stargate SG1. The pain should be over soon.

That can't be true?
It is true?
Oh no.....

Oh, btw. my mother used to watch ETP until near the end of season 1, then stopped. She said, the the series was simply too terrible to watch any longer.
...That was telling.

They're stealing material from Captain America comic books, aren't they?

I feel compelled to point out this hasn't been confirmed. I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if it all turned out to be true, but technically, it's just a rumor.

I'm getting the impression that if they had the Season Four premire as just 45 minutes of an old man painting a wall, you'd think it was interesting as long as it was still called Star Trek Enterprise...

Atleast they gave a reason for the alien nazi being there. It makes sense for an alien, who's fighting in the temporal cold war, to go back in time to WWII, if he wanted to screw with human history. Besides, it's not like this whole WWII thing is going to stretch for the entire season, it'll probably go for three episodes.

Cut? More like, ala Vigo the Carpathian, poisoned, stabbed, shot, hung, streched, disembowled, drawn, and quartered.

Much like people, franchises need to sleep if they are going to remain operable for more than a generation. If I were writing this an hour from now, I would be rambling incoherently. If you think ENT is bad, just imagine the depths of crapitude that might be reached if this cash cow lives ten more years....

Meanwhile, back on Enterprise, Daniels, the temporal agent, lies dying in sickbay. His body is in flux — some parts are aging, while other portions are regressing to a younger stage. Before he loses consciousness, Daniels manages to tell T'Pol that there is someone the crew needs to stop. This mysterious threat turns out to be none other than Silik, who steals an Enterprise shuttlepod and heads toward Earth...

Bah, they're just running out of new stuff to do, that's not exactly unexpected...... Any franchise with approx 500 hrs of transmitted footage is going to get a little tired. They need to let it lie, then maybe pick it back up in a few years time with fresh brains writing the stuff for it.

Hell...... (and I prepare for the coming firestorm as I speak) if we'd had that level of overexposure to Wars we'd be pretty tired of that too.
