I apologize if this has been addressed before, but nothing came up in a search.
Anyway, the question is, what do we know of the strengths of the MACO rifles?
In the episode "Impulse" (ST:E) we see that a one-second blast (set on stun) from a phaser has the same effect as two stun blasts from a MACO rifle. Anyone else have anything more conclusive?

err, how do we know that it took two stun blasts to stun a person? Why not it took only one but the MACO's fire in bursts to be sure of hitting the target?

I believe one of them was used as a sort of stun baton also, right?

No. That was a different thing.

There was a scene in that episode where one shot is fired and it hits a Vulcan-zombie squarely in the chest and he keeps coming. The MACO then fires a second shot, which brings it down.
