Play By E-mail Role Playing Game, for those who didn't know.

I just wanted to know, does anyone here play in one of these?

And if so, what type of character?

I played a grand total of one game, and got bored of it. It was a LOTR game, not ST. But yeah - got bored.

Were you referring to a specific ST game?

No specific game. There have been zillions though.

LoTR has them?

For those who didn't catch what I meant in the first post, a PBeM is where you set up an email webring through Yahoogroups or some such. Each person plays the role of one or more characters. They mail the others in character, thus staging their own episodes of Trek.

Sounds like the STGOD games played in the SDN gaming forums.
I have to tell you something everything I wrote above is a lie.

I played on an ST one set on Empok`Nor about...4 years ago. Before that, I was all about the IRC simming.

I have about four characters on a PBEM ships. Two Conn's, one XO, and a Marine XO. Pretty good stuff, IMO. I am never really comfortable with IRC though.

As a matter of fact, here is the sim where I play XO. A bit under construction, but I like it.

In the past I've played the PBEM game It's a Crime by Adventures By Mail. First time I played it was back in the 80's when it was really play by postal mail. It's fun until you realize the same people play over and over and have the system down pat.
