Shatner At 73

Post by Lord Poe »

I was watching the Ryan Seacrest show today, (ducks hails of rocks) and William Shatner was a guest. I couldn't believe this guy! According to IMDB, he's 73 years old. Yet he was literally running around the set, jumping, and even hopped into Seacrest's arms at one point! What was really funny was that Seacrest was WINDED, and told Shater to talk while he caught his breath! Shatner wasn't even sweating!

He's overweight, and 42 years older than Seacrest!

What has Shatner been up to lately? Besides appearing on shows where he runs around. ;)

Conventions. I saw him at one in the L.A. area a month or so back, and heard about him going to one in Pittsburgh or something.

He's also been doing a little bit of acting and photographing some shoots for Playboy.

Well, he and his wife have a pretty good hobby/business of breeding and selling horses.

Yeah, it's amazing how he can be 73, yet act like someone in their 30s or 20s.

And I bet he did not even had to rip his shirt to do that.... Now if he rips his shirt then you'll see some amazing things... :D

He's awesomely fantastic. Ahhh. Did he not also recently have a starring role in some um, 'Trekkie Fan Boy' film?

That was about 4 years ago, IIRC. He's remarried since then.

EDIT: Just checked his IMDb entry. The wife you're talking about drowned herself in August 1999. He remarried in February 2001.

As in, commited suicide? Or accidentally drowning herself?

She had a history of depression, so it could well have been suicide. Since there wasn't a suicide note, however, I believe it was recorded as accidental.

Evilcat might've been thinking of Free Enterprise, but that wasn't all that recent.

Of course, after it happened, some asshats tried to claim that Shatner killed her.

Scroll about halfway down the main page. Funny thing is, I heard the segment when he was on, and it didn't sound like him at all.

He even made a ST parody-style movie about it, with Borg, Feddie, and Klingon paintball teams. I haven't seen it, but I saw it on the shelves at Blockbuster one day.

And remember, he's also. The Voice. Of Priceline.

I recently watched Miss Congeniality. It was a good movie. Shatner is not bad as director.

Shatner = the man.

They should hand the Star Trek franchise over to him.

Wouldn't that lead to the new series; Star Trek: Emperor Kirk Saves The Universe?

Free Enterprise was an awesome movie. Shatner lampooning himself was pretty hilarious.

Maybe, but it'd be an improvement.
