I didn't see it, but assuming someone adds a spoiler warning to the thread title(or their post), I'm all ears as to what it was about.

Well I hadn't planned on including much in the way of spoilers, but since someone has so kindly added that to the topic, I may as well.

Basically, I thought it was another good episode.

Synopsis:

We see there is dissention in the ranks among the Xindi. We also see how much the Archer character has progressed from an idealised explorer, to a hardened commander who is willing to go to any lengths to accomplish the mission.

Basically, we see a split where the aquatics and the 2 humanoid species are on one side of the council, and the insectoids and lizards on another. The aquatics return Archer to his ship with an encoded message.

In the mean time, they go about fixing the ship and making repairs. We find Tapol has apparently been ingesting whatever mineral it was that makes vulcans go crazy (sorry the name of it escapes me). She has become addicted to this substance which is making her lose her control over her emotions and she seeks phlox' help.

While doing this they encounter another ship which has been having problems with spatial anomalies. Enterprise is in dire need of a warp core. The alien ship has one and Archer offers to trade for it. The aliens refuse, saying they had no way to replace it themselves. ARcher is upset by this because it means enterprise will be out of action for several weeks to rebuild/repair their own warp coil.

Meanwhile, Hoshi deciphers the message (in the aquatic language), and in it are clues for a meeting. It indicates that there are other council members interested in speaking with him. The catch is, the time for the meeting is in 3 more days.

Archer then makes a decision he had never thought he'd make. He was going to steal the warp coil. This doesn't go over well with his command staff, but ultimately they realize that the future of Earth is at stake. And if you think this would be your typical Enterprise episode where fate will step in and cause archer to not be forced to do such a thing, think again. They go through with the plan, attack the alien vessel. Macos lead by Archer board the alien vessel via transporter with guns blazing. They get the warp coil and beam out, leaving the aliens stranded. Episode ends with Enterprise proceeding to the rendevous at warp 3.2.

It was interesting that the only one of the officers who didnt click their heels and follow orders like good little windup soldiers was T'Pol -- and she's suffering from addiction withdrawal symptoms

Plus, we also got a glimpse of the Xindi's future gal ally, if only for a few minutes. Shame we didnt get to see more of Casey Biggs (Damar from DS9 fame) as the alien starship captain, but perhaps there will be consequences of their little episode of rapine and pillage

It was alright; I just felt that they were trying too much to pull of an "In the Pale Moonlight" for ENT and it just didn't truly work (even with the wonderful Casey Biggs on board).

I'm glad to see when push comes to shove, Archers gonna do what it takes to win.

I could see the parrallels there as well. I'm curious as to what you felt "didn't work" in the episode? It seems to me that the cast are becoming much more 3 demensional rather than cardboard cutout stereotypes that they were in the first couple seasons.

Personally, I think it fits in quite nicely with the earlier episode of "Anomaly" where Archer couldn't picture himself as becomming like Orgoth (the alien he threatened to shove out an airlock).

It's nothing serious. I actually loved the situation old Archer found himself in. I sayd they tried too much to pull off an "In the Pale Moonlight" because there was way too much focus on T'Pol's erractic behavior - could have had another peisode deal with it my opinion. But these are just little nitpicks.

Stranded is right...It will now take them three YEARS to get home.

And the only compensation they get is some extra food and provisions...can they call for help with a subspace radio?

Enterprise sounds like a cool sci-fi series now. Shame I don't own a TV!

You can usually find a Bit Torrent of an episode within an hour or two of it airing. You'd be surprised how many people have it available. If you are not familiar with this technology, google it for more info.
