They're just scaling back; from the look of those articles, unless something bad happens they'll keep it. I think if the ratings go up even slightly they keep it. 'snot like they've got a heap of good shows waiting for a timeslot :)

The sites trying to save it are fun tho :)

Unfortunately, something bad's already happened —the show itself.

Get those shovels ready. There's a grave to be dug.

Star Trek has died, it's time for the new generation to churn out a classic.

We might need to encourage it into the hole, tho... I say we start the 'killenterprise.com' organisation, to make everyone go to the pub, or read a book, or have sex when they'd usually watch enterprise.

Fucking god, Enterprise isn't that bad. I hold firm to the belief that ENT takes place in an alternate timeline, created by the events of FC.

Honestly, that's not the main reason it sucks. The main reason it sucks is because it's a crappy show.

Alot of season 3 hasn't. Twilight, Strategem, Doctor's Orders and Azati Prime , along with a few others were amongst the best. All the Trek series had bad first and second seasons, god knows TNG and VOY did.

I dislike the continuity errors, but the alt timeline theory fixes this.

Spoilers ahead

Anyways, the Xindi storyline so far is pretty damn good. In the beginning, it seemed like it was a simple "evil race wants to destroy Earth with an uber weapon, so said race must be defeated" storyline. Bzzt! Wrong! As the season progressed, it slowly became clear that it was something more. Azati Prime cleared it all up. The Xindi were tricked into thinking that the human race would destroy them 400 years in the future, by a transdimensional race known only as the Sphere Builders. The Sphere Builders gained their name because they were the ones that built those weird anamoly generating spheres Enterprise has kept coming across. Their intentions was to turn the entire galaxy into what the expanse was becoming.

In the mid 2500s, (no idea when it actually starts) the Federation (which now included the Klingons and possibly the Xindi) fought a war against the sphere builders. This culminated in the 2551 Battle of Procyon V, in which the Federation defeats the builders and forces them to retreat back to their own realm. The builders, who have this weird ability to see various timelines, saw this and knew that the only way they possibly be victorious was if the Federation never existed. They figured if the human race was eliminated, then the Federation would never be formed. As some sort of irony, the builders decided to use the Xindi for their preemptive strike. They contacted the Xindi, via a "Future Girl" and fed them a load of BS about what the humans were going to do and you know the rest.

Going by what I've read of the last four or so episodes, Archer has to and apparently succeeds, atleast partially to convince the Xindi of humanities innocence in the matter.

Those Sphere Builders sound like the Farseers from WH40K. They see a future in which they get wiped out, and the reason for it. So they work in the present time, and get their enemies to fight each other.

Has potential there, and sounds like a variant of Romulans (manipulating others for their own benefits).

Anyway, the joy about Daniels' line about seeing alternate timelines is that it could be used to justify that ENT is not set in the mainstream Trek timeline...

Angel isn't lasting very much longer.

Yes I know that. But UPN should take it b/c it's ratings are better. Hell they were good on the WB, who in fact had no (good) reason to cancel it.

Its a shame they didn't bother thinking out their plot beforehand, instead of letting their writing staff do most of the work. Its got a great 'tacked-on' feel that must really satisfy VOY fans. :)
