Precision transporting

Post by Shrykull »

I remember in a ds9 ep, something was beamed into a wall, and there was that ep with the transporter sniper rifle.

Can a transporter be used to beam someone's heart out of thier chest? What would happen if you used one to labotomize someone by taking out part of thier brain, or all of it. I'd love to see what that would look like, hollowing out someone's head with a transporter :D

I wonder why transporters can't be used for other purposes, that if they could remove and add anything to someone's body that there would be no need for surgeons, or to change someone's shape, etc

i don't know about removing their heart, as that's apart of their pentire pattern . . . . however transporters have been proved to be able to remove clothing from someone at least. (as the ferengi demonstrated in an early TNG episode while transportiong lwaxanna and deanna troi aboard).

Store the pattern of something you transport and you get a replicator. Would be very useful for when you transport the Romulan Ambassador back to his ship. Make an exact copy of the Ambassador and interrogate the sucker.

Or use big transporters with good sensors and modular designs for starship maintenance.

Transporters, the most under used and developed tool in Star Trek.

I remember the Voth transporting an entire starship(with fully functional shields and defenses) in Voyger.
I have to tell you something everything I wrote above is a lie.

They were also able to transport a baby out of a pregnant woman in Voyager.

The Vidians on Voyager used an advanced transporter tech to steal organs. I believe that's how they go rat boy's.... I mean Neelix' lungs without cutting him open.

Sigh, I liked the Vidians as villians. They brought up some interesting ethical issues.

The Vidians also looked cool. They are my second favorite Voyger alien of the week after the Hirogens.

I thought they were decent villians as well, especially since they weren't one dimensional. Too bad they weren't around more or longer. They were much more interesting than the Kazon.
