How would you guys save Enterprise? Here's my idea:

First of all, I would end the Xindi arc this season. I'd go from here and create a series of encounters with the Enterprise and the Xindi. Archer will also find out about this superweapon and warn Starfleet about it and tell them to prepare. In the season finale of this season, I'd have the Xindi launch their attack on Earth with their superweapon and a fleet of their ships. Earth's fleet, having been warned by the Enterprise, will be there and they will engage the Xindi forces. Enterprise will arrive not too far into the battle and they will engage the Xindi. In the process, I would also bring in some help from the Andorians. Eventually, Starfleet will destroy the superweapon. In the process, we'll see some "new" Starfleet vessels in the battle as well. After the weapon is destroyed, the remnants of the Earth/Andorian fleet will finish off the Xindi. It will be total victory for Starfleet.

After the last Xindi ships is destroyed, there will be a ship barely within sensor range of Earth, a few light years away or so. The ship is a Romulan ship The ship will then enter subspace and exit. In a dark room, a hooded man will activate a screen. A man with his own face covered in a hood will appear. I would have the man on the ship say something like, "A new power is emerging in the quadrant."

The man on the screen would respond, "What type of power are we talking about?"

The guy on the ship would say, "This "Starfleet" has destroyed a Xindi superweapon and destroyed a major portion of the Xindi fleet. Reports from our spies in Xindi space are still coming in, but it would appear as if the Xindi are no longer a major player in this quadrant."

The guy on the screen would respond, "Interesting. Monitor this new fleet further. If they are as powerful as their performance against the Xindi would indicate, we will take... certain precautions to ensure that they do not become powerful enough to match us."

That's my idea for the end of the season. I think that it would also make a good lead into the beginning of the Romulan War, and as a big Star Trek fan, I would love to see the Earth/Romulan War played out in Enterprise. What do you guys think? I am interested in hearing your own ideas as well.

Start obeying continuity, get rid of the Xindi ASAP by any means possible, kill off T'pol, and start the Romulan as well as the founding of the Federation.

It's too late to save Enterprise. It's already a huge continuity clusterfuck, and has done too much damage. The only way to save it is to simply kill off the whole damn show, pretend it never happened, and try something else. For example, they could try switching to a movies-only franchise for a while, and trying to make movies that don't suck.

On second thought, I agree with Lord Wong. Short of some stupid cop out to restart the series i.e. "Computer end program!" or "Well that was a weird and amazingly long dream!" there's nothing that could be done for that show.

Fire B&B,Erase season 1 and 2 and say season 3 is the start of the show.

The "end program" wouldnt be a bad idea, but you also need to get rid of the moe and larry collection producing the show at the same time.
But, just as an idea, hows this: after defeating the Xindi superweapon, the picture shifts ala "Yesterday's Enterprise" changing the look of the ship, and morphing the uniforms into the old gold, red, and blue of the TOS. The entire storyline to this point has been a corrupted timeline, and now things are how they should be. Ensure all traces of B&B liquidated, proceed with real writers and focus on exploration up to the beginnning of the Romulan War.....

Failing that, put a bullet in this dog's head as soon as possible, too much suffering....

Pull out of Paramount's seven-season contract and promptly cancel the series, only airing the episodes that have already completed production. Enterprise is already dead, so it should be put down like the old dog it is.

I don't think switching to a movies-only franchise would work, even if the movies were good. The continual track record of crappiness in recent ST movies has already done to much damage to the franchise's reputation. There simply is no demand for ST movies, as evidenced by Nemesis' box office failure. Although it might be a cop-out, putting the franchise to pasture for a few years might be the only idea that can save ST. After a lengthy absence of new material, accompanied with reruns of good Trek, public demand might just creep back up again.

Whatever happens we all know this, it will never be B&B's fault. The way these asses have dodged bullets amazes me.

Frankly, Enterprise is beyond saving. The best thing to do would be to retire the whole franchise for about ten years and start anew with a whole new cast and concept, preferably as a movie. That the current creative staff wouldn't be involved is a given.

How about they abandon movies and TV and just focus on novels and reference books?

And hopefully come out with a canon policy that validates the novels and reference books by making them official.

I'd rather not. There's too much inconsistancy between the novels. I just like sci-fi technical books, that's all.

The answer is EITHER:
you can't.
OR just have an episode where they send "end program" and you see its a historical programme.
OR blow the enterprsie as soon as possible and start again with a Deadleus
class ship equipped with lasers and fusion missiles.

I think that instead of doing movies they should release a few ~4 episode mini-series a year using different characters and situations for each one. Get top notch sci-fi writers to write them and try to make them a major event. Really I think they should stop making movies, I like Trek but i haven't even seen Nemesis (and don't really want to).

There may have been a very remote, outside chance of salvaging something before they introduced this Xindi bullshit, but now it's simply time to abandon the flaming wreck of this franchise and scuttle it.
