Do a starships shields have to be lowered so they can fire torps?
I read something to that effect in a book but can't remember if the canon confirms or denies this?

Incorrect. Ships may fire torpedoes while shields are up.Crazedwraith wrote:Do a starships shields have to be lowered so they can fire torps?

there's been several examples of this in the television series. in deep space 9, for example, the entire station was covered in shields while firing multiple torpedoes. so there's at least one canon example.
