Are vampires cold-blooded?

Post by Superman »

If they are, could people who hunt them use thermo sensors to detect them?

Just re-read what I wrote. I'm tired. What I meant is, if a vampire was in a crowd of people, could someone with infa red or whatnot detect him because he gives off no body heat?

Its usaully though of vamps being corpse in temputure. Although I don't think that holds for Underworld-Blade verse vamps and some others I could mention. And Dracula could change his apperence to a young gentleman, so prehaps he could fake warmth magicaly.

I think the Blade vamps were generally cooler than regular humans but not corpse cold. Of course it might just depend on how often they feed.

Depends on the origin of the vampires.

"Walking Corpse", mystical vamps will, indeed, be room temperature.

the "Virus Vamps" of today could swing either way.
ISARMA: Daikaiju Coordinator: Just Add Radiation
Justice League- Molly Hayes: Respect Hats or Freakin' Else!
Browncoat
Supernatural Taisen - "[This Story] is essentially "Wouldn't it be awesome if this happened?" Followed by explosions."

Reviewing movies is a lot like Paleontology: The Evidence is there...but no one seems to agree upon it.

And then you have White Wolf vampires who can fake warmth, skin tone, and even digest solid food by using blood.

In Blade 2 it is established that they are cooler. And that they are at about room temperature.

Vampires generally rate as background temperature. So while not being strictly cold blooded, its roughly how they appear.
