Not spectacular, but surprisingly good.
From the preview I saw last week, I thought it would be ALOT worse.
EDIT: Since no one else seems to be posting spoilers about it, i'll do it later.

The scene where the Xindi were boarding Ent...I had flash backs to B5
I'll have to see the B5 scene again, but I'd swear they have to be damn near identicle.

I thought it seemed more like the boarding scene in ANH.

I was reminded of the ANH boarding scene. Then again there aren't all that many different methods of boarding a ship through an airlock.

you can always go the B5/Space trooper route and
make your own.

True

, though in case of the Enterprise it would be quite hard to explain how they have assault shuttles/guys in space suits that are able to cut through the hull quickly when their shipboard weapons take several shots just to puch through the polarization or whatever it's called.

It was better than I expected, though.
Continuing plotline about Expanse/Trellium-D, more of the Xindi council (love that fish-dolphin thing), and Xindi weapons look pretty cool, as does their FTL drive.
Some thoughts:
- MACOs can shoot pretty well through smoke (it might not be as thick as I thought it was, however, since my TV is pretty crappy and some of it may have been static)
- Enterprise seems extremely easy to board. They didn't even have to disable the ship. (Tantive IV had to be shot up and tractored into the hanger...)
- And wouldn't be much easier to grab the first human they saw, instead of fighting all the way down to the brig just to grab Raijin? This wouldn't be the first case of extraterrestrial stupidity we've seen in ST.
- Perhaps Archer's rational thought of the week sucked logic from the aliens' brains. He ordered Malcolm to analyze the Xindi weapon. Eeeexcelent.
- Enterprise's transporter has a 10,000 km range.
- Reptillian Xindi's armor protects them from phase pistol shots. The MACO rifle seems to be more effective.

Well we know one thing about the Xindi...
The lack proper sensors or a tricorder. One Xindi with a tricorder taking a reading as Archer walks by him in a marketplace would have gained them all the information they needed....

I missed the first 15 minutes, but found this episode to be better than I expected.
I liked the boarding sequence, but did not like that when Archer uses his pistol he gets one but all the other weapons seemed ineffective. How come the Captain is always the best shot. Since when do ship Captains shoot better than trained infantry. When are we going to see an anti-ship boarding version of the Claymore mine. Armor or not it would still knock them down. Oh, and when are Reed and his team going to move with their weapons up and ready. Pointing them at the deck is a great way to get shot in the time it takes to raise your weapon.
But overall the boarding sequence was cool I thought. The Xindi moved fast and with a purpose. Like a boarding team should.
On the pure hormone level, I thought when the blond lady help Hosho's hand that was pretty erotic.

Anyone care to venture a guess as to what caused the Xindi ship's dissapearing act???
I say alternate form of FTL.

I vager that they are somehow making use of the anomalies in the expanse.

That was a surprisingly good episode. I thought it would be a lot worse. It was nice to see the crew getting a severe beatdown though. Just to prove just how much out of the Xindi's league these guys are. I also liked the fact that they actually used a grenade...not very big I don't think...but it was used.

Mayweather said they disappeared into some kind of vortex.

I can see why the grenade would be small really. Large explosion + small corridor + hull breach = bad thing

Nobody has mentioned the blatant lesbian innuendo.

The only reason a shieldless ship shouldn't be boardable while operational would be maneuvering to prevent contact. With the maneuverability of ships in ST, this would be tough.

Since the airlocks on the NX-01 are on the sides of the saucer all they would have to do is make the ship rotate around it's longitudinal axis, any ship attempting to dock with the NX-01 would have to perform some pretty interresting manouvers to have a change to succeed. Of course doing so would violate the Law of Uniform Orientation inherent to Trek Verse.
