Another bloody Trek Shuttle!

Post by Kenny_10_Bellys »

Hi gang, I made this thing as an excersize in spline patching in Lightwave, a technique I haven't used much before, and certainly not for an entire vessel. The design is called the IAV-106, the Intergrated Auxiliary Vehicle designed to be a captains yacht that's sunk into the underside of a Korolev class ship. It also comes with a warp attachment that fits over the top and sides which makes it look quite mean, and I'll certainly be making that when this is finished. If you want to see the actual design by Reverend, then skip over the the Flare forums and check it out. All that's left to do is the small stuff like thrusters and detailing, and of course the warp engine attachment.

Very Trek-friendly. Designing something that looks at home in a series or genre is a trick a lot of people doing this sort of thing aren't very good at. Good job.

Cool! Looks like a 24th century version of the air-tram in ST:TMP.

I like the way it looks flattened. Very Trek-y.

The finished article for your perusal. All i have to do now is make the warp engine attachment used to turn this Captains Yacht into a runabout. It also has the added bonus of making it look much cooler too...
