If he were to team up with Bad Horse...
The results would be unspeakable, but very sexily-voiced and lyrical.

Old Spice Guy is a physical constant of the universe. He always has those tickets to that thing your Empire loves and a horse.
If that is the case, that only means he is above such petty ideologies as Centralism. The greater universe doesn't care about politics in the grand scheme of things, after all.

What about the Dos Equis guy?

The idea that a machine does not have a mind to be read, given that the machine is intelligent, begs a
lot of questions about the nature of intelligence and minds.
The idea that a computerized mind cannot be read by a telepath, I'm not going to say anything about one way or the other. I'm not opposed to it, nor am I in favor of it, I simply remain neutral.
I'm going to try to avoid making any serious rulings about telepathy except "don't be lame with it." Using "I read your general's mind from fifty light years away" as an in-character justification for effortlessly foiling someone's battle-plan based on out-of-character knowledge, for example, is lame. So don't do that, or anything too much like it.
[modhat off]
I myself may do strange things in that regard, but then, I have funny ideas about the nature of the soul. Don't take everything I say or do as a player at some kind of face value.

Exactly. He doesn't care about your ideology; only your Empire and the Empire it's currently seeing.

I understand what you're saying. Guess it would depend wether or not if a telepath reads alpha/beta brain waves, would a sentient robot do the same?
Just as easy a tech savant could hack into a AI brain like a telepath. Regardless...I am all for the "don't make it lame" deal. I too have wierd ideas about the soul. But, I don't like the voodo/magic aspect that some places on it. Anyway.
Did you by chance see the info I put up regarding the OMNI nation in the other Thread? Wanted to make sure my numbers were correct. Am thinking late tomorrow I'll have some fluff for the history and how I want it to go.
Thanks!

OMNI do not mutter or laugh...they do not have a sense of humor as far as they know. If it wasn't issued to them by the SAB...then it isn't needed!

Sorry, I haven't been checking people's numbers very closely. I'm not a natural-born accountant and time-and-energy have been constraints lately. I'll try to remember to go back over things later this week when matters are less... fraught on my end.
The mechanisms of telepathy are something we DO NOT TALK ABOUT, except as a way of providing technobabble of your choice. If someone has anti-psi technology (such as "null fields" that block psychic intrusion), then honor that to a reasonable extent. I don't want to bicker over mechanisms any more than I do over exactly why hyperdrives work or how a beam weapon can run on peanut butter and the outrage of honest politicians.
The key to esper powers (a Lessons Were Learned from SDNW4) is simply to have everyone on a mutually respectful and understanding basis. I'll explore this in a little more depth some time from now, on my home computer.

Take all the time you need really. I'm fairly confident in my numbers so I don't think they need checked. Don't want to run the mod ragged now do we?

I'm not doing anything tommorow, so I can crunch some peoples numbers if they'd like?
Just a thought to try and make sure Simon doesn't get overwhlemed here.

I don't see any problem with helping with the numbers. Though I suck at math so I wouldn't be any help myself.

Sure, double-check to make sure they add up and all.

Calculator and Notpad are your friend!
Or just make a spreadsheet in Excel (Or equivlant), easier then you think it is!
But yep, double checking is good, and Simon already has a pretty full plate with all he's done for this game, so I figured I'ds tep up to try and lighten the load a bit.

While I may suck at math (and trust me...it was a chore just working up my numbers...don't want to botch checking someone else's) I can help with story stuff. Or other non-math related things if anyone needs said help.

@ Simon with regards to soul stuff...GOT IT!
The only reason I asked was because this is my first go 'round with this game so I'm wanting to make sure i understand the rules and what not. I don't care who checks it. I appreciate anyone that can make sure my numbers make sense as well make sure I don't rag the mod.
@Skywalker_T-65
I will probably take you up on your offer for storyline and fluff. Once I get done then you are welcome to critique it and let me know if there is anything I can do to make it better for the game.

The primary difference between the Most Interesting Man in the World and the Man Your Man Could Smell Like is that we have only heard of the former's accomplishments, while we have actually seen the latter in action. In any case, I would imagine them to be rather similar in that they simply don't care about your petty ideologies, only about being awesome.

What about the Dos Equis guy?
He won a gold medal at the ESPerlympics... sitting at home.
The Grays asked him to probe
them.
His motto is "Safety third".
He once ran a race from Umeria to Shepistan. On foot.
He is... the most interesting man in the galaxy.
