Is that a rhetorical question
Aaaaaaany way, sidestepping the shit fest that seems to be flying around for reasons that I have no fucking idea on, Denis, I hope with all my being that the worst that has happened is that you are having a hard time right now and don't feel like being in contact with anyone. Believe me mate, people love and miss you, and we all hope that you find your way back man, because believe me you've been a terrific friend.
And that's my two post quota for this month, so you can all continue pulling each others hair out.

I've asked before but was anything heard from anyone at his workplace?
What was his transportation to NYC? Id imagine if somehow he had the cash with him to try and drop off the grid he would have to pay cash and then take a train or bus to destination unknown. I would hope that bus stations and train stations have been canvassed and people working in the time after NYE would have been asked. This is of course going on the suspicions some had that he might somehow have been upset enough to disappear for a while. I thought it would be difficult but if he had a bank account no one else knew of and got a debit card then he could concievably travel for at least a while unnoticed.

Does anyone know if he was a member of any MMORPG's that he might have logged onto around the time of his disappearance? They usually keep logs of everything typed in game.
Even if he didn't give out any personal information in in-game chat I know I'm prone to saying things like "I'm planning on heading to Walmart in a few" or something to that effect over the in-guild chat. It's a long shot but you never know.

He was on a vacation trip to NYC, so no.

He was active in WoW in the past, but I recall him telling me he said he was going to be quitting, so he may not have been playing since before he vanished. I don't know though.

That fits with my impression also, but I got the sense that he was slowly tapering down, not that he had cut it out entirely. Regardless, it may be worthwhile to look up his guildmates.

Blizzard does have a history of cooperating with the authorities in a variety of situations, including missing persons. It might be worthwhile for the family and/or police to contact the company for any information they might have, if they haven't already.

I e-mailed a couple of my friends who live in New York and directed them to the Facebook page.
Wish there was more I can do, but living on the west coast, it was all I could offer.

Fuck no this isn't going to drop to page 2.
Surely we have...something, anything?

I think it's either he surfaces on his own, or someone stumbles across a body at some point.
Fuck. Maybe the staff could sticky this anyway?

Ditto.
Was he playing RuneScape, by any chance? Or maybe he had an account on another board? I didn't know Ghost Rider, but if he liked flaming trolls/idiots he might have had an account at

How long do you have to be missing to be listed on the NYC.Gov website?
I checked here
http://www.nyc.gov/html/nypd/html/missi ... _man.shtml
He should be listed, but he's not. I wonder if the sight is even maintained?

There's a person that was listed as missing on February 20th but there's probably more people missing than the handful shown.

Well, on the front page there is an entry for a person who has been missing since 20 February, 2011, so the site seems to still be active.

I think we can safely assume that Ghost Rider is either dead, lying low, or has changed his identity.
Of course, we've had those assumptions for several months now, so I'm not really being helpful.

It's just that it's difficult to understand all this and what happened. If he's dead, why hasn't someone stumbled on his body? I mean, did he make an enemy out of the mafia or something? If he's lying low, why wouldn't he send at least a covert word to someone just about his condition (whether he's ok and safe or whatever)? If he's changed his identity... why?
The most upsetting thing is something has happened, and nobody knows what. And the longer this goes on, the less likely we'll get any answers.

The fact that there is no confirmation of his death means we should not give up hope. Stranger things have happened in this world and I hope GR returns someday with an interesting story to tell.

Stofsk, the odds are not in favour of finding out what happened. There was an NIJ article in 2007 that pointed out that a large number of unidentified human remains are found each year, of which only a fraction are entered into the NCIC database.
Since most of us cannot help, the best we can do is grieve and move on.

Why not contact his family to see if they have any updates about him? Maybe they know something but forgot to let us know?

There is already a close friend in contact with his family, and he does have an account here. If there is news, he will certainly share it.

All the Ghost Rider support pics are....disorienting. As I scan threads, I see them and my brain automatically thinks for just a moment "OH SNAP, HE'S BACK!" I always enjoyed reading his posts...makes me sad, but also makes me remember.
