I meant for Shroom :)

And if they already have AIP cells, well, so much the better. It just wasn't mentioned in the specifications piccie.

What variant of the Eurofighter do you operate, the Tranche III or Tranche IV? How many of your Eurofighters and F-15 ACTIVEs are double-seaters?

In any case, when you finally start phasing them out, I might be interested in acquiring a quite a few of them for my own purposes until I can obtain my own fifth-generation fighters. If you're up to it, we could start talking prices right now.

You need a better cover story than that. A submarine can do none of the jobs a coast guard ship needs to do.
:P

Well, I'm still looking forward to expanding the defensive prowess of my submarine fleet. And the idea of SSKs being "mobile minefields" is appealing.
Shinn Langley Soryu wrote:As a producer and operator of the F-15 Eagle (or at least an enhanced combat-capable version of the ACTIVE), Shroom might be interested in the Silent Eagle upgrade pack. For those of us who can't afford full-fledged fifth-generation fighters like the F-22 Raptor or the Su-50, a MacMillan-built F-15 ACTIVE with Silent Eagle upgrades would make a serviceable substitute; current users of the F-15 in CATO, such as PeZookia and Byzantium, may find the upgrades worth acquiring as well.
Shroomania's moving forward with the CF-01, which is basically a PAK FA/F-22 analogue so we're probably gonna relegate our F-15 ACTIVES into Army air support roles.

But why not? As long as Beowulf doesn't sue me. I think we can work something out. :D

(Beowulf is it alright if I make my own Silent Eagle ACTIVES?)

Re: SSKs

Which is more recommendable? The Lada or the Amur? The Amur has a nice VLS rack though which, IIRC, most of the other SSKs do not have. Just stick some RTGs and hydrogen fuel cells into the baby and it'd be good to go! :D

From wiki:
Although hydrogen-oxygen propulsion had been considered for submarines as early as World War I, the concept was not very successful until recently due to fire and explosion concerns. In the Type 212 this has been countered by storing the fuel and oxidizer in tanks outside the crew space, between the pressure hull and outer light hull. The gases are piped through the pressure hull to the fuel cells as needed to generate electricity, but at any given time there is only a very small amount of gas present in the crew space.

Greetings!

Please allow for me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and taste... and an authorized sockpuppet account of Coyote.

Over at SB.com I participate in STGODS where I have a "Coyote" and a "Darth Coyotus" account so that I may post 'good guy' plots and 'bad guy' plots without confusion. When you see Darth Coyotus, you know I'm up to no good and posting on behalf of terrorists, Japanistan, the RUF, and other mustache-twirling villains.

I will play the bad guys as truly motivated to spread evil, as if my good guys were an adversary.

I asked Darth Wong for permission for this account, and he granted it. A few stipulations apply-- I never use this account outside of the STGODS forum, and I'll put something in my Sig that will always identify this as a sockpuppet.

Anyhow, that's the introduction for my evil account, let the games continue!

Haha, moustache-twirling Japanistanis!

Evil Coyote, you need to have an avatar or sig with a goatee to signify that you are from a parallel dimension of EVIL!

Maybe you, Steve and I can work together on the RUF thing at the Costa and FOIL the EVIL of the JAPANISTANI MOUSTACHES?

You know, for the record, the moment I get a briefing about these experiments there will be some serious intra-CATO tensions.

I think what I am eventually going to do is tweak Japanistan a bit and make it more "mine" as opposed to trying to copy Skimmer's style. I'll maintain the established standard-- a strong and high-tech Air Force, a large Army of varying quality, and a weak Navy. But I may re-arrange some equipment types and the like; use more JSDF materiel, that sort of thing.

The super-heavy Tank O'Doom will still be around, and the fundamental history will stay the same. But Japanistan has been quiet and reclusive for years now, time enough to explain that some new equipment has been fielded, some alterations in government policy, etc. I can never run a plotline the way Sea Skimmer did and it would be folly for me to try, but a good, built-up launch pad for evil will still provide us with good plot fodder.

So, to begin, I want you all to give me...

For the record, I have nothing to do with any deranged vampiric slasher storyline going on in the UCSR (only recently did I know about the vampirism... I was honestly expecting something more like Jason Voorhees).

But I do want my army of cybernetic organisms. You don't have any objections on cyborgs, do you PeZook? I mean, as long as there aren't any experiments on unwilling (human) volunteer subjects?

Since it'd be kind of DUMB to waste expensive cybernetic components on unwilling subjects who'd just go crazy and eat people

I'll play Japanistan to win, because nothing makes a story quite like a good villain. If for any reason people think I'm using Japanistan to prop up Canissia, by all means speak up.

But it'll be fun to be the villain!

I agree with Shroom completely here, if you want to make Japanistan a fleshed out villain nation, go ahead, but don't try and use it for the nefarious purpose of annexation/puppetry, please.

The two projects are completely separate. The Vampire thing is merely something I'm doing for fun. :)

The Cyborg thing is serious business.

Also: Guys, give Coyote some credit. I think this could be quite fun, and let's face it; we need a villain, lest we turn on each other.

2 megatons is actually pretty powerful for an atomic bomb. The first atomic bombs were measured in kilotons. In fact, I think A-bombs can only reach like 500 kilotons. You'd need hydrogen bombs for megaton-worth explosions.

Yeah, I have nothing against cyborgs organisms, though Siege is apparently maiming humans to make cybernetic soldiers. If we ever found out, SinTek's executive branch should really try stay away from PeZookian soil...

Supersoldiers are dumb, anyway. For the cost of one, we can get dozens of men trained up to special forces standards and equipped with advanced electronic kit :)

Those humans probably volunteered to be maimed anyway. Like men getting circumcisions.
