Oh, just drop the holocaust already. Saxton was wrong. He's human. He can be wrong.

It's possible. There's nothing definetive. It's going to depend on peoples interpretation.pecker wrote:Oh, just drop the holocaust already. Saxton was wrong. He's human. He can be wrong.

Not this debate again. Why does anyone who understands basic principles of debris have too much time on their hands? Having knowledge of something pretty much means that it takes NO time to understand that Endor would be utterly destroyed. Why is it cynical to believe that our current understandings of the science associated with such a massive explosion are true?pecker wrote:Endor wasn't fucked by the debris, obviously. Anybody who believes that has too much time on their hands and/or is WAY too cynical.
Bullshit. Endor wasn't fucked up. The end.Stormbringer wrote:It's possible. There's nothing definetive. It's going to depend on peoples interpretation.pecker wrote:Oh, just drop the holocaust already. Saxton was wrong. He's human. He can be wrong.

Because it's a movie. That's why.Master of Ossus wrote:Not this debate again. Why does anyone who understands basic principles of debris have too much time on their hands? Actually, it's all in the way Saxton formulated his conclusion. He said "X happened and this caused Y," where X is the destruction of the DS and Y is the holocaust he refers to.It's possible. There's nothing definetive. It's going to depend on peoples interpretation.
Actually, there is the X-wing reference making it a little more ambigous.Vympel wrote:There is unambiguous EU evidence that Endor is alive. Kyp Durron went there, and there was no mention of a holocaust. Can we just stop beating the dead horse?
Pure canon- Endor dead
EU- Endor alive
Because there is reason to suggest that there was devestation but perhaps not a completel holocaust. Then again I would wager that Endor was on the brink for a long while.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:Why don't we just say that Endor was kicked in the balls?
That should cover it.
In Essential Guides to Aliens and Creatures, the Ewok section, has an Ewok wedding taking place on Endor years after ROTJ. I'd say that is pretty definitiveStormbringer wrote:It's possible. No it does not. It has the ewoks stuffed in a museum. It never says anything one way or the other about extinction.Spartan wrote:Endor is Dead. In Wedges Gamble it explicitly states that the Ewok are exstinct.
