Well, I suppose I should say hello. I'm a 20 year old SW fanatic, and partial to the bad guys. I would have taken the name of Lord Chaos, but apparently someone beat me to it. :p Oh well, my name isn't necessarily a derivative of anyone's. I just went back a few years in the history of my RP character to differentiate me from the moderator. :)

While I'm not a Newbie (and have beeen postinga round) I figure that everybody here is anewbie in one sense of the word or another.

I'm Singuler Quartet, and I can't spell, so I would like ta ask the Admin or a mod to correct the ducked up spelling of my name, if they would be so kind...

I am Meghel, from The Netherlands, and I am 24 years old.

I am basically here because I like Starwars, dislike Star Trek and have an appetite for discussions and pointless threads.

Cheers.

Thanks. I just shrunk down something I thought was cool on a whim. It turned out better than I though. :) I shouldn't have any questions regarding the board, though. I'm used to this type of board, and, hopefully, I'm intelligent enough to understand the rules here. :P

Sorry, but I don't think that has ever been an ability of the admins.

I might as well give my intro now before it's completely irrelevant. My handle's Datana, and I've been a regular reader of stardestroyer.net. Lost my taste for Trek sometime in the TNG era, have been a Star Wars fan pretty constantly, and recently rediscovered anime. I dislike pseudoscience and cult mentalities, hence my usual haunts here are the Off-Topic and the Science and Logic boards, though I sometimes post to Other Sci-Fi. I usually prefer to lurk, but I'll try to avoid that here. Yoroshiku onegai shimasu!

If curious, the avatar's the seal of the Humankind Empire Abh from the Seikai novels by Morioka Hiroyuki. Too bad no one's ever translated them into English, though there is an anime series ("Crest of the Stars," licensed by Bandai) based on the first novel available in the States.

*Stands up* Hi my name is Captain_Cyran and I'm an alcoholic...no wait, wrong group...drat. Anyway I've been a loyal SW fan all my life and I am a fan of TOS and TNG to a lesser extent but they don't match SW at all. I first learned of SD.net through a friend and have been an avid supporter of Lord Wong and his Imperial Smack-down (sorry don't know how to make it registered) ever since.

Hey. Newbie here.

I've been visiting Mike's site for about 2 years now. Delighted to see a BBS here now. Maybe I can finally have some serious and intelliegnt SW discussions.

Why is SW looked down upon so much? I've visited various boards where Trek fans or b5 fans act like snobs if you say that you like SW.

Hi, everyone! I'm Edi, 26, from Helsinki, Finland. I stumbled on to SDnet from Heavengames forums (www.heavengames.com, a strategy gaming site dedicated mostly to the Age of <insert your favorite here> games). I've not taken part in vs debates before, and I'll probably stay clear of most of them since at least the SW vs ST is so trodden to death already.

My hobbies? Reading (fantasy and scifi), some computer games (namely Age of Wonders) and some other odds and ends.

I'm currently working on my computer engineering thesis so I can get rid of school for good and get a regular job, and I'm trying to write a couple of novels on the side (got material for at least a dozen or so, provided I get anybody to publish even the first one, but I'm an optimist :D ).
