so this is basically a redo i started a while ago of the only half-way decent thing to come out of page 1

i’m actually really happy with the way it’s coming out, there’s an increased sense of 3Dness and i plan for some more interesting wispy space-filling stuff to happen with floatygal’s hair

but in my pride and arrogance it was only after i started that i realized it won’t fit on the entire page

this is particularly disappointing as i've discovered more capacity for pencil-lineart, as my scanner has a separate mode for lineart and can scan at 300dpi and i can set the scanned image layer to 'multiply' in photoshop to paint directly under it instead of digitally tracing everything which is balls

so maaaaybe i'll print off the upper half on the bottom half of a page and continue to draw it? the difference in paper texture and stuff may have it look kinda weird

not super happy with the composition of this, paticularly the shutting of the eye

the idea would be that a dying trainer instructs his ditto to take the other pokemon to the pokemon centre to be healed. We hear the instructions because the ditto repeats them as it takes the pokemon and (something not instructed) the form of the trainer: it's going to live the life of the trainer and pick up where he left off. I think that has lots and lots of story potential.
