My problem with AC2 is nothing to do with the game's story, gameplay, or voice acting.
Sadly, I have not been able to buy the game after greatly enjoying the first due to Ubisoft's dumbest-idea-I've-ever-heard DRM scheme.
Requiring constant internet connection for a single-player game is a wonderful way to lose money, fast.

There's no DRM on the console versions.

About as much wit as you'd expect from a preschooler.

Yeah all there is on the console versions is selling you missions that should have been in the main game as downloadable content.

Given what the DLC actually costs I'm not really sure how this is supposed to be a legitimate complaint. The only reason it was included with the PC version is because the PC version was released much later than on consoles. The fact that the DLC is completely optional, it's not exactly a deal breaker like requiring a constant internet connection in order to even play the game. So I'm really not sure what you're whining about here.

My biggest complaint about the DLC is the fact that I've been unable to complete it due to shitty AI. Every time I attempt the part where you have to escort the two NPCs I've failed the mission because the AI bugs out and they run off in opposite directions (or one runs off and the other apparently puts taproots down through his ass and refuses to move) so I fail the mission since I can't fucking magically stay close to both of them when they're three miles apart.
If this was a once-off thing I wouldn't give a shit, but it's happened consistently for me.

I have no beef at all with the DLC, because there are no achievements for it, so it is not placing me in the quandary that I would otherwise face that it taunts my inner achievement whore by meaning that I have no longer got all the achievement points for the game, but the DLC missions are actually crap and I don't want to buy them.

That's as may be, but sadly I don't have $300 to shell out for one of the consoles. I prefer playing games on my computer when I can, and that's how I played through the previous game. I was looking forward to Assassin's Creed 2 coming out on Steam...emphasis is on was.
