Star Wars Humans

This is kind of a stupid question, but where did humans come from in the Star Wars universe? There must be one 'home' planet where the species originated...or is there?

SW Humans come from Earth.

As for once Humans were inside the Galaxy, some say Coruscant, some say Corellia, and others say that it's unknown.

Personally, I think they "originated" on Corellia.

You know, Spanky, until you wrote 'SW Humans come from Earth.', and I just read it, I never ONCE made any connection between the SW galaxy and our own--never! I always thought it was like an alternate reality altogether!

Just goes to show that even after decades, you can still learn something about a favourite little obsession.

Well, just as Star Trek is simply said to take place in our future, Star Wars takes place "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...".

Which is basically George Lucas' version of "once upon a time, in a far away land..." :)

I don't think they'd much notice "race" after all, when you routinely take the bus with a gentleman that is 8 feet long, has an exoskeleton, 5 eyes, and speaks by slits in his abdomen, the subtle differences between race sort of seem amazingly trivial.

Gee, and I always thought that "a long ago", my ancestors were scampering around the African savannah. Still, it's possible. A passing spaceship...a little alien child who thinks the native ape creatures are just too cute for words and wants a couple for pets... By the time said ship reaches that galaxy far, far way, the Earth pets have long ago worn out their welcome and are abandoned on the first hospitable planet, say Corellia. Thus the origin of humans in Star Wars.

If you'll excuse me, I think I'll go get my copy of 'Chariots of the Gods' and thump myself on the head with it now.

For all we know, it could have been the Hyperspace Aliens (builders of the Maw black hole cluster and the Corellian System) that might have transplanted Humans from Earth in the Milky Way to [Corellia] in the Galaxy.

Oh my God...

While this is totally off topic, I just thought of something.

What if the Hyperspace Aliens built both the Maw cluster and the Corellian System for a single purpose: that of constructing and populating a star system with an alien species from another time and galaxy?

Phase I
1. About two million years before the events of the films, the Hyperspace Aliens build what would later be called Centerpoint Station in an empty star system.
2. They then construct Planetary Repulsors on five planets throughout the Galaxy.
3. Using Centerpoint Station, they pull the planets through Hyperspace to the system, and position them into stable orbits around the star.

Phase II
1. The aliens use a construct similar to Centerpoint Station to position multiple (super?) black holes near the Kessel System so that their gravitational forces balence out.
2. They use the completed black hole cluster as some kind of wormhole to not only travel over such greater distances in such shorter time then Hyperdrive will ever be able to, but to also travel through time.

Phase III
1. The Aliens arrive in the Milky Way, about ten thousand years before our present, either in or near the Sol System.
2. The Aliens find Earth and Cro Magnon Man.
3. They decide that Early Man will be a suitible subject, and take a significant portion of the Terran Human population with them.
4. The Aliens return to the Galaxy, now in possession of a Human population.

Phase IV
1. The Aliens bring their Human population to the brand new future Corellian System.
2. They colonise the planet that will eventually be called Corellia with the Human population.

Phase V
1. The Hyperspace aliens disappear from the Galaxy forever (possibly using the Maw) and are never seen again. The only proof that they even existed at all are: the entire Corellian System; Centerpoint Station and the Planetary Repulsors; and the Maw black hole cluster.

Again, off topic, but I just thought of it.

Spanky hit on what my theory has always been.

The Hyperspace Aliens seeded humanity into the SW Galaxy from Earth or their own genetic databases and are possibly an extreme future evolution of ourselves conducting some biological or historical experiment. Playing God.

Hmm... Dune takes place in our future (8,000 years or so in the future) and if you watch the second Highlander movie, the place where the immortals are from (planet zeist or "a very long time ago") looks a lot like Dune...

Hmm.. maybe time travelers from Dune were the Immortals!

What has that got to do with anything?

We were discussing human origins in various galaxies. ; )
