Note -

The Universe knows the ATJ as the ATJ. They don't know what it stands for.

No-one knows who the Anti-Troll Jihad is. Hell, people would laugh if they heard that explanation.

Kokand holdings should be towards the core of the galaxy and are fairly closely spaced. I'm not sure about distance, but a fair ways beyond the average radius around earth taken up by the colonys of powers that spread from it. My power was isolated until fairly recently.

Enhanced, IMO.

Side note for Spyder: The Outworlds Alliance is on the edge of human inhabited space, but apart from that detail, you can put it anywhere you want.

And stick the Republic of Tho'a-hal somewhere near (though not directly next to) the Outworld Alliance, just outside of human inhabited space.

The Fenari Travel about, but are near the junction point to a wormhole leading to the Kzin Patriarchy, and have awareness of some distant extra-galactic powers.

also ground forces clarification armours

Marine EVA armour is a form of powered armour with jet pack assist used for boarding, planatary assult, ship defense etc. actions. It is sufficiantly armoured to protect the user from most light weapons. Generally equiped with an autoload "Shotgun" *Ceramic flecettes embedded in caseless propellents*, or a laser as primary weapons. as well as a "Frequency Blade" (Vibrating "Sword" that can cut through most materials)

Den Defender: Largest suit of Fenari PA, approximatly 3.25 meters tall, contains a "Shielded Frequency Blade" (Fenari attempt to make a "Variable Sword", can cut through just about anything, but requires lots of power, reducing speed and operation time depending on the strength of the material being cut through), and a "Defender Pistol" posseses both gyrojet & shotgun loads in seperate feeds. The "Bore" of these rounds is larger then that of a standard Fenari weapon, but they are shorter ranged. Den Defender armour also is equiped with a low grade shielding system. *but it drains the batteries really fast* Consequently Den Defenders spend lots of time training but mostly exist as official "Honor Guards".

Very basic map of the sector, I'll make it all pretty once I've got the locations confirmed.

Image

[edit] Actually, how big is the sector supposed to be?

Kokand is far far too close to earth, it should be further away then almost all if not all of the colonys of earth powers. It should also be located in the direction of the core, which I would assume equals up.

There are no "Floater" systems. We coexist with other empires, at the Sol system, the Taiga system (pan-slavic Republic), alpha centauri system (NAU), and the Mohaim system (Krytos, Monacoran Empire). The Mohaim system is 40 LY from Sol, as for the others, ask their owners.

Yes, but so far we have no more than 10-20 thousand floaters in DE space, most of whome are living in small minign clustes, with only very limited industry. It will be years before any major clusters can form, as we are not focusing on developing large clusters in DE territory as of now.

The main area of play was originally defined as being about 1000 light years across. But given our FTL speeds we should probably be looking at a sector that's a fraction of that, with the area beyond holding only minor mining stations and mostly independent colonys.

Questions about space fleets:

1.How fast is a reasonable upgrade schedule? There are some upgrades I'd like to make soon and possibly new ship classes in the more distant future.

2.Now that the game has started, is it permissable to get a fleet of over 400 ships with new construction?

Using RL is a decent measuring stick for this, as I don't recall any of us having uber-construction-tech. Remember that while the STGOD Thread by Phong is on, we're looking at somewhat close to RL time progression. No month-long leaps are expected.

Whatsleft should be some where just beyond the boarder of human space on the NAU end of the map.

I would be more then willing to draw up the Map of Earth if everyone's holdings could be given here. Also I wuld like to say that the only two Extra-terrestial holdings which the Monacoran Empire has are Mardup (A Gas Giant and its moons, preferably in as system controlled by other people, excpt for of course Mardup) and Far Point, which is quite some distence away from inhabited space, and the exact location of which is kept secret.

How far away is the Betelgeuse star, anyway? I just chose the name because I liked the sound, but I didn't see it on either of those star lists.

Hey Alyrium, I have a question about those super happy fun frigates of yours. You've made it clear that they are not to be considered as the destroyer escorts that most people think frigates are. What would be a better model for their behavior?
