The Gorn and Tholians have both been sadly abused by Trek. They deserve some goddamn screen time, damn it.

Well, abused isn't the word. I'd have said neglected. Would've been nice to see some Gorns physically tearing apart some Jemadar soldiers at least or something. A Tholian web around the wormhole at DS9 could've been interesting, etc, etc.
