The Aleithiometer, or maybe Shieldbreaker. Hey, if the Glaive is allowed, the Sword of Swords should be.
The Altheiometer, from Phillip Pullman's "His Dark Materials" trilogy? Why not the Subtle Knife then? Assuming you can reassemble it....
Because the Subtle Knife is, at best, a means of transportation, and at worst, it's merely a weapon with poor range. While the Aleithiometer effectively brings precognition to the table.

The +192752 Int for 32085 hours potion I made in Morrowind :P

Or maybe the DewPrism? No, thats godlike. How about a great weapon from the Dragarea series, one that has a neat ability like pathfinder rather than only being useful in a magical world, and one that I can actually lift, being a puny human.

They may have claymores and Dragons, but we have Bolos and Ogres.

Inu Yasha Items :

Shikon No Tama (Jewel of the Four Souls) - A small (Able to be easily held between the thumb and the index finger) pinkish (although it has a tendency to shine brightly too) glassy ball, made from what appears to be countless varied souls jumbled together and fused through enormous exchanges of power. Can be shattered into dozens of pieces without losing function, can be put back together inside a body, and apparently can be reborn even if it goes into the next world. The whole jewel can bring back and regenerate monsters from the dead simply from it's proximity, and when absorbed give great changes to form and power. Even a single shard can give someone great power, although this power seems to depend on how much the heart is given over to such. Shards can make inanimate objects come alive, cause indefinate spawning of inanimate objects to living creatures, reanimate the dead (even though they are still dependant on the shard for life), multiply power (according to how it's used, exact effect depends on the deployment and the creature), enhance healing, give human body parts demon-like powers, so on and so forth. Overall, a very useful and versitile thing to have, although I also note that the power seems to come with a great price.

Tenseiga - The brother sword to the Tetseiga. While alot of weapons in Inu Yasha can cause great amounts of damage, the Tenseiga can actually bring another to life, permanately. (In humans at least there also seems to be a healing effect.) There's even an indication that it can bring hundreds back to life in one swing as well. It also can teleport the owner away when he's in danger, and ask to be used. This makes it a very strange 'weapon', even compared to the others in the story. While I might not be able to use it, being human I may be able to trick it using the Shikon no Tama.

Final Fantasy :

Master Magic, Command, and Summon Materia, and others of their like (VII) - Small hardened balls of mako. In essence, the master ones gives all the magic, commands, and summons aviable, making for a powerful character. Allowing for others along with the approiate weapons gives even more powerful combinations. Finding the right weapon (in this case, the Conformer is best) and the right monsters (ie, every one in the sunken plane) means that you can easily max out each stat, fast.

FFVII Weapons and Armor - Simply as something to place aforementioned materia.

Magicite (VI) - Remains of deceased espers. Most obvious ability is that they slowly teach you magic spells permenately. However, they also raise other abilities too and allow for a summoning of the related esper. Learning all the spells makes for an extremely powerful character, although magic in FF6 seems to be extra to the world and thus can be lost, making all that hard work (mostly) for naught.

Paladin Shield (VI) - High physical defense, and either absorbs or negates attacks of almost any element.

Marvel Shoes (VI) - Automatic Shell, Safe, Haste, Float, Regen, etc.

Crystal Shards (V) - Shattered pieces of the crystals that embody the elements of the world. Each piece corresponds to a 'Job', changing the user into one of that profession along with the related active and passive abilities, along with strength, dexterity, etc. The crystal teaches the abilities of the profession with continued use, which then can be used even without the crystal. On top of that, completely mastering a job means that the passive abilities and stats are automatically used when no crystal is equiped, meaning that someone that masters all the jobs gets to be very powerful indeed, even without the shards around.

Ribbon, Safety Bit (Various) - Ribbon protects against status aliments (Nice if you eat bad food.), while Safety Bit prevents against sudden death.

Tales of Phantasia :

Wingbirds - To solve the 'going anywhere on the map, late in the game' problem that comes up in most console RPGs, ToP has the Wingbirds, relatively small single-seater things with fluffly wings to each side for each character, save one. This isn't too noteworthy by itself, but in order to answer the problem of accessiblity, they made them have the odd ability to fold into pocket size when not in use, putting it in the realm of hand-held devices.

Card Captor Sakura :

Clow/Sakura Cards + Wand - Admittedly, this stuff probably goes very close to breaking the no god-like powers rule as first stated in the thread. (I'm also admittedly not a specially born and chosen ten-year old Japanese girl, so I think this balances out.) The cards vary in power from stopping the sun from rising, to restarting it, to erasing things, allowing for flight, controlling the elements, to countless others (espically if you include all the anime cards as well).

more later, if I feel like it...

You know something odd. My last name is actually "Clow." Well, not "clow" literally but Clough, but both are generally spelled Ku-Lo-o in Katakana so I guess one of my ancestors was a mighty wizard.
