New Patria has a force of 30 devices thanks to Shep. The largest are 50 kt devices (6) with the rest being Dial-A-Yield with yields between 10 and 40 kt.

Time to elaborate on Alexandria's military and what ProTec and the other advisors are doing there. Right now Alexander's forces are going through a complete reorganization. His troops have always been effective, but training and tactics has varied between units, with most units operating as individual companies. Right now officers are being retrained in a standardized method of war by ProTec and the other advisors. After learning at the academy, the officers go back to their units and with the help of ProTec advisers retrain their grunts. I'll need help from you'll in determining what this doctrine is, and how Alexander's forces should be organized.

So what tactics would work best for Alexandria's well trained light infantry force? Right now Alexander is most concerned with defense and mounting operations in his extremely rugged terrain.

The only unit I really have worked out in my head is the Iron Guard. It is Alexander’s most elite force, a Reinforced Regiment strong. It is full of his most battle tested veterans and is airmobile thanks to ProTec's helicopters. Think of it as a poor man's Ranger Regiment. One company been trained in specialties such as hostage rescue, sniping, and deep penetration raids. Another is detailed to solely protect General Alexander and had been extensively trained to do so.

Some are, some aren't, but if Q exists, well, he might have something in store for us when it's time. Or not.

I'll be unable to post in the STGOD for the next few days. My buddy's wedding is upcoming, and I have to arrange for a trip to Warsaw to be there :)

Though I'm pissed at Tonkin, I'll think up a sufficiently biting response later :P

I bet I managed to piss off not a few nations with that stunt, I'll grant you. Of course, I kind of expect that with the RT, what with us being ideological enemies and all.

That said, don't read too much into that meeting with Q. He's being an ass, as usual, so he could be exaggerating for dramatic effect.

Uh...you pretty much said you will let Alexander buy whatever he wants for "adequate defense of his people".

If you'll note, the proposed ban is on tanks, helicopter gunships, infantry fighting vehicles, attack aircraft and ballistic missiles. In other words, you want him to be able to buy high-powered offensive equipment which is only useful against the Sultanate or the Diocese. For defence. That's one transparent ploy you're making there, and I don't need Q to figure it out :P

Zor, I really think nuclear weapons isn't a wise idea. I mean, you're an OMSK member too, but you're also in the FUN (right?). The FUN espouses non-violent nuclear application. But your OMSK-ness could make you a special case ;)

As far as I understood, OMSK nations rely on Shep to provide nuclear stockpiles.

Hey Shroom, I chipped in on the F-15 and F-16 thing too, remember?

Haha. This Saddamistan issue reminds me of something.

The Franco-British-Soviet talks in 1938-1939, which were totally ruined because neither party could come to a compromise. Also, the British and French diplomats were low-key and lacking the right to speak or make any treaties or solid agreements, which was a tactical move by Britain to "bid time", but eventually infuriated the USSR.

"Tell us about it!"
"I'm not authorized to speak!"
"Then what good are you"

Hahah. As Marx said, history repeats itself, first as a tragedy, next time as a farce ;)

@Rogue Ice:

Oh yeah! Terribly sorry about that! Um, I shall edit the article accordingly!

EDIT:

Fixed!
The Enhanced Tactical Fighter project is an initiative between the Shroomanian, Shinra, and Byzantine governments and between the Schrom Corporation and Byzantine Aeronautics. It marks the first-ever joint defense project between nations from the FUN, OMSK, and MESS.

Something to explain about the UKB Government, it has both a Minster of State and a Minster of Foreign affairs. They both mean the same thing except "State" is the US title while "Foreign Affairs" is the Parliamentary title.

However they are different in the UKB. State is responsible for maintaining embassies in all possible countries, establishing relationships with foreign powers and generally putting faces to countries. What I envision in this division is that State are the Diplomatic wing of government, they are people persons in other words, trained in psychoanalysis and meant to serve as both mouth-piece and front man for the UKB. With so many King's and Despots, I felt it necessary to ensure my diplomats were free to focus only on the personal side without worrying about the hard work side of the house. In short the UKB picks people who are likable people who if you were a King, you'd love to take along if you were a World Leader, sure he's a representative of the UKB, but damn he tells a good story and man can he drink.

The UKB falls under the old school of "Diplomats must be ready to make policy" Ambassadors are never rewarded but selected by State, and signed off on by the Crown and PM, both of whom hold veto rights over any possible Ambassador.

Foreign affairs meanwhile is the trade side of the house, aid, Economics trade and Deals. They are not by any stretch diplomats but people with degree's in physical things that monitor trade, exchange rates. They handle the economic side of the house. Which also means that Foreign Affairs is a much bigger department that State, but State has much more prestige because of it's tight requirements.

The fact that Lord Patrick, represented the UKB at the Liberaltopia conference is because we have no official embassy, Nassor was "technically" the Ambassador to Supreme General Alexander, Lord Ramsley's ambassador I never wrote up, but I imagine some devout Orthodox man with a Title to take Ramsley and due "noble lordly things" togther .

(PS:To give you an idea on how selective we are Shroomian Ambassador is a three time UKB champion wrestler/former Body-Oil model (:P) )

Oh my god

The Ambassador's entrance into embassies must be greeted by his own personal theme music!

It seems a new Pinochetian junta is at the helm, so we are of course saying BEEEH :P

Be aware if you push it too much with civil war, larger nations might have to intervene

Goddamn it. That was a transmission from General Karic, wasn't it?

Come on. The FUN does not NEED a junta propping up inside it.

Asshole sociopathic power-hungry generals have a slight character problem:

They are really inconsiderate about other people's needs.

[OOC: On that note, I'm gonna have to sleep soon. Basically, after this, I'm sure Solid Shroom shall be able to hook up with the FIFAs/WITCHes and then work with Shady. Basically, the resistance will coordinate with the FUN and - if all things work well - the SAF's F-22s are gonna come in at the nick of time and bomb the living shit out of General Karic. Those gay pilots are gonna be Big Damn Heroes!]
We can finish this tomorrow. I have to leave to.

See, here's the thing-- UKB and Saddamistan make a secret deal, and constantly dance around the isue, all cagey-like, and then world leaders start dropping like flies.

Hmmmmm....
