Augh, I fucked up. Can I get my page deleted or something? I'm not really a 'participant' in the grand debate so it really doesn't really apply.

An admin can do it if you add the {{delete}} template to the page, but it might be easier to just edit it to something more accurate.

I have updated and expanded the Minimalism page. Specfically, I have removed the erroneous info identifying Karen Traviss's prior military service as with the RFA(She was in the RNXS), and noted that based upon her decription of duties she was most likely a Deck Seaman. Which wouldn't really improve her credentials.
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

I was always under the impression that to be a "participant" only required being a member of SDN. Afterall, thats what its titled on the main page.

Really, all you need to do is edit your page where it says "[[Categories:Participants]] and change "Participants" to something else.

There, I just changed your category to "Average Joe" which doesn't actually exist yet.

Or you can just remove the "category:" tag.

Troll entries for GStone and AvOGARDO up. If you remember any precious gems of stupidity from either of these trektards, and it isn't on their pages already, don't hesitate to add them.

I think the privacy policy page should be filled in, but I don't feel authorized to do it myself.

Suggestions:
  • ImperialWiki does not and will not sell information about its users.
  • ImperialWiki reserves the right to release information about users who vandalize the site.
Well, no one else commented on my privacy policy suggestions, so I went ahead and posted them. If anyone wants to update them, you know where to find the page.

Heh. SFJ started a Wiki. Big surprise, there, huh?

Of course, it currently has no content...

Cargo-cult mentality again. I guess they're so scared the ImperialWiki might become a raging success that they wanted to get a jump on it. Theirs will, of course, turn to complete wankage-filled turd in no time.

Actually their Wiki predates SDN's. There's nothing on it that isn't out and out garbage but they were up first. Try not to laugh when you look at how much progess they've made.

Now, now be fair. It's obviously the work of the vast warsie conspiracy that results in more people registering here in seventeen days on average than have ever bothered with their board.

When I looked at it, it appeared to have no content at all.

There's a little content. Here are some highlights:

+http://www.starfleetjedi.net/wiki/index ... ck_Cruiser

+http://www.starfleetjedi.net/wiki/index ... =Saxtonite

+http://www.starfleetjedi.net/wiki/index ... ion_issues

I've been visiting the Wiki on and off since Jan and the content has varied, of notable interest is that the ICS page seems to have been taken down. There was some serious BS and slander in that.

What a bunch of crybaby bitches. Maybe educated people do not like to sit and laborously educate high school kiddie retards that should know they don't know their ass from their elbow. I'm sick of these no-talent, no-education cretins waxing poetic about intellectual honesty and groupthink and a bunch of shit they know only because they live on google and wiki and certainly aren't getting laid.

There's a certain class of arguments they like to use which is so hopelessly generic that you could simply swap out the name of their target and swap in anybody else. The "groupthink" one is a particularly good example of that; I've seen almost EXACTLY identical versions of that argument used against just about every group in existence. If that's the best someone can come up with, perhaps he should look at himself and realize that he's got nothing.

Not to mention its a specific psychological claim, and cannot be meaningfully substantiated until you've credibly dismissed alternative explanations. Such as, maybe people agree on something because they are all smart and educated and that thing is obviously correct. Its like creationists to be honest. The whole "mean elitist conspiracy of smart people" bullshit is the same song-and-dance. According to them, our primary role is making fun of people. On one hand, they're just sore assed from being pummeled time and time again. On the other, its goddamn Star Wars and Star Trek; if you are so straight-laced and formal about it you cannot make fun of kiddie fanboys, you're probably among them. People with lives and education who happen to like SW or ST should be able to draw common sense conclusions, and it only follows they'd make fun of permavirgin losers who cling seriously and strongly to their fanboyism. That's what normal people ought to do. Its a mark of pride, quite frankly.

And they can post a notice when they have a Kureneko or Michael Wong or so-on amongst their little circlejerk. I'm sure it just happens that people with professional degrees and careers and educated in science happen to have wives and real lives and home and also just happen to congregate here.

The SFJ wiki says that Mike Wong was banned from the st-vs-sw.net forum.

Did he even register there? I know he prefers to debate either via email or on his own site, so it seems unlikely that he would do so.

I don't recall ever registering for that forum, but since Mr. Loser rushed to take it down almost as soon as he put it up, the whole thing is nothing more than an amusing footnote anyway.

Anyway, their whole forum and wiki are something like a dozen people. Honestly, who gives a shit? We could (and in my opinion should) completely ignore them and nothing whatsoever would change. Apart from the occasional opportunity for mockery, what possible significance could they have?

Well, they are a debate-oriented forum that still believes that Trek > Wars. This is the "Star Wars vs. Star Trek" forum, after all.
