One big problem I see: Where's the economy?

MMORPG's have two main aspects in gameplay: Combat, and crafting/selling. Whoopty doo, you'll be able to do a little bit of ship crafting....doesn't sound like there will be much to do except do some missions and fight in space. Not that there *should* be a free-market economy in the Federation since they're so perfect or what not lol

I'll probably end up playing it depending on how it turns out. By then, SWG should be about done with, so I'll need a new MMORPG fix

'Federation Credits' have been mentioned and I wouldn't suprised if established fact about the existance of money in the Trek universe goes out of the window anyway.

Remember Picard's dress uniform? It looked more like a dress than a uniform ;)

Should be fine as long as you don't make a character with a redshirt :)

You're lucky if you never saw it ;)

Just imagine men, with hairy legs and all, walking around in ... man skirts as Ghost put it. Disturbing, blame Roddenberry- the sicko.

I believe the term for it was supposed to be the "skant." It's especially easy to see being worn by a few crewmen in the TNG pilot. It's actually pretty much the miniskirt uniform Troi wore in the pilot, with less of a waist.

Of course, considering the number of ladderways and Jefferies Tubes used by the crew, it's really inconceivable that anyone would wear something without "ventral coverage," so to speak. (Zap Brannigan showed us the vital wisdom of such coverage.) Also, a skirt is a bad idea in any variable gravity situations, and would be a potentially lethal obstruction when it's time to get into the emergency space suit.

In short, trousers of some description are the way to go, either as a separate garment or as part of a one-piece suit.

I'd imagine it was one of Roddenberry's other warped visions of a 'unified' future where Men could wear anything they liked without being mocked etc etc. I'm glad that was quickly panned. I can see it now, a bearded Riker sat in the first officers chair, legs open as they activate the viewscreen for first contant...
