For me it would be..

TNG "Rascals" I mean where was a fucking SWAT Team on that ship, do they even have one...

"Cause and Effect" The time-loop episode, they could've gotten out of that loop anytime by getting the fuck up outta there.

"Sub-Rosa" dont need to tell you this one.

"Imaginary Friend" The one where the girl had an imaginary friend and the friend threatens the ship.

DS9:

cant think of any except the episode were the Pah'Wraith took over the body of Keiko.

Voyager:

Too many.

"Haunting of Deck 12" The Voyager equalivant of John Carpenters 1980 b-movie "The Fog".

"Macrocosm" Flying cold germs going around pulling an "Alien" on Voyager

and Species 8472 and their organic ships. They didn't think about using nuclear weapons or brute force weapons on them. They also ran when 13 ships were destroyed.

" Alice " The Voyager equalivant of "Christine"

" Warhead" who would be stupid enough to bring a bomb aboard without taking precautions.

Thats all i could think about.

Simply a mortal threat to foreheaded, foul smelling beings with hearts of warriors.

Although that was a great episode to make fun of while watching. :)
There was also a TNG episode where a virus turned all crew members except Picard and Data into animals. It was kinda funny in an unintentended way. Worf being a dog like creature was amusing.

Babel in the case of the former, Genesis in the case of the latter.

"Genesis," I believe. They were actually reverting to previous evolutionary forms, with Worf being a crustasian-like proto-Klingon.

A scientifically bogus episode, but somewhat amusing. The Barclay spider monster was kind of creepy...

Okay, I have to admit, that was funny.

*Klingons beam aboard*

*Klingons shoot a redshirt*

*Klingons drop their guns and run at O'Brien with Bat'leths and get shot repeatedly*
Thats sort of how pirates battled in the Caribean isn't it? They had there little one shot pistols, used those then drew their swords to fight :/.

Except that the Klingons left the tropical islands in body, but not in mind. :P

Mortal threat? No, simply a massive irritation.

Any others?
Oh man...I can't fucking STAND that TOS episode with those damned kids singing to the "friendly Angel" and causing Spock to sing, Uhura to look ugly, and Kirk to lose his balls.

And who can forget the singing space hippies in "The Way To Eden?"

Thread started pretty much summed it up for me. Moldy cheese, imaginations running wild, etc.

Good point.

That shit me beyond belief.

Enough of a threat to cause the Klingons to frag their planet. As a parasite they where lethal considering how much they ate and multiplied.

The animal episode with Barclay as a half spider actually game me nightmares. I can't watch that episode.

Though, what excuse do the Kling-dumbs have for using one-shots?
And those pirates would hack them to pieces.

a piece of the action,

yeah like 1920's mobsters even with a communicator are just too far behind in tech to be a concievable theat to an advaced space faring civilization....

They were a threat to Kirk and Co. when they were on the ground--not surprising, since they had submachineguns and numbers. And I don't think Kirk was being really serious when he said the Iotians would want "a piece of our action". To me, that sounded like, "Well, we just fucked with their culture again, and before too long we're going to have to deal with them pushing out into space." No threat to the Federation, but they could be bothersome to their neighbors.

By the way, wouldn't it have been cool if some minor character from TNG, DS9, or VOY, maybe someone aggressive but not too bright like a security redshirt, turned out to be an Iotian who joined Starfleet after his home planet developed warp drive?

Dirty Harry wrote:Does anyone remember that episode of DS9( ), when a runabout shrank to roughly the size of a micro-machine(8)? A friend of mine told me about that episode before I saw it, and I thought he was pulling my leg. I don't think this could be classed as a threat to dS9, but it was certainly a threat to the crew. For sheer scraping the barrel, story writing stupidy, I think you'l be hard-pressed to come up with a better example.
Have you ever seen the episode in question? It's actually a preety good epsiode, and the threat of the micro-runabout is not overdone. It shows that a micro-photon torpedo can kill a Jem'Hadar, which is fair enough.

The real threat wasn't the runabout, but the crew i8nside the runabout. O'Brian, Dax and Bashir manage to covertly give the Captain a chance to re-take command of the ship, which he manages to do with the help of the rest of the senior staff and the micro torepedos.

Time-travel episodes in general. "Cause and Effect" is a major culprit, as is "Time Squared". They know that something incident in their future is going to destroy the ship, but they don't do anything to change that outcome until the last second; some dope (usually Troi) says "changing course might be what causes the accident" or something equally stupid. You wouldn't have had any reason to change course the first time through this loop you moron!

that what i been saying. and it was Worf who said "Change Course"

actually "Time Squared" is a superior episode in which a readily known situation is building and you probably have no way to avoid it.

a bunch of kids in 'And the Children shall lead' - TOS

a handful of Ferengi in a Klingon BoP take over the Enterprise-D

the Pakleds holding Geordi hostage. Although for such a dumb-seeming species, it wasn't a worthless endeavor.

The one where Risa's weather net is sabotaged and rain threatens the sunny beautiful Risan days.

How about the one wher Picard's life is in danger because he goes back to get his saddle and gets stuck on the Enterprise with a bunch of theives while a technobabble sweep is going on?
