It really is a shame trek got to her first. Shes a good actress, not great, but quite good. She did well on boston public, though I havent seen the show in a while so I'm not sure what they've done to her chracter.

I missed a lot of it but because of a program she put together to help the school study for some standardized test she basically became a second vice principal. Something that Guber didn't particularly care for.

Yet another reason to dislike B&B.

It isn't that people are unbelievably critical of women's bodies (well, unfortunately some people are), it's that Jeri Ryan was put forth as a "bimbo" from the start. B&B's plot to distract horny adolescent viewers from bad writing, cliched plots and shallow characters.

I consider Jeri Ryan "cute", and she's better looking than Blalock (the latest trek "bimbo"), but to me her character of Seven of Nine serves as yet another symbol of how far into the crapper Trek has fallen at the hands of B&B.

Seven or T'Pol don't have to strut around in catsuits and hit on the nerdy crew members and get possessed by weird diseases or radiation that make them "horny" every other episode, but oddly enough, they do. I wonder why?

Obviously "babes" have existed in trek since the beginning. Sex appeal was part of the original series, over the years, it's become so transparent, that I think many fans have gotten fed up. How about a little substance behind the eye-candy?

It's like the old "drape a bikini model over a new car" trick in advertising. Sure, it looks great to a guy who appreciates that kind of thing, but it really won't change the car into something it's not.

Putting substance behind eye candy takes something called talent. And this is B&B. I think the answer is obvious.

B&B and talent should never be used in the same posts without the words NO screamed a couple million times.
