It would be pretty hard to pull that off due to turrets, the size of SW ships, and fighter squadrons. I don't think the technology is here right now, maybe in a few years?

Man!!! I can't wait for my EGM to hit, they listed RS III in the back. WOo HOo!!!
First off, I was wondering about having MORE Hoth battles. They get better everytime. So keep them coming.
Unfortunately, Rogue Leader was rushed. Everyone knew it, anyone with any intelligence still loves it. I'm sorry, the X-Wing games are nice, but it's waaaay too sim like for me. It just stops feeling like Star Wars when you have to keep fucking with things. Either way. We'll talk smack about that later. First off, The Battle of Yavin is sweet as hell. But having to dodge around pillars you can't hardly judge sucks. Oh well, bring it on!!! Hoth, like I said keeps getting better. Endor, the cutscenes in there kept being cut short. Not only that, I believe it could have been MUCH bigger. Like XWA in a way, even though you had some bonuses. First off, this means giving the Falcon her ability to dance once again. Rogue Squadron had it down beautifully. Rogue Leader, left something to be desired. She was fast, had the punch, but manuvering her was like throwing a brick. Either way. Look at it this way. Opening battle, Pull up!!! Have the mayhem. They seem to centralize you around the medical frigate (XWA did the same thing almost) because of that one damn line. Let the player roam through the battlefield at breakneck speeds, deftly out pacing Imperial fire. Then move the stage on to engage the Star Destroyers. Now this is were it gets tricky. After that, do the surface of the DS II again. But man, cut back on the damn turbolasers. If you go back and fly with the Falcon, that damn ship gets ass pounded. Then go back and sit you in an A-Wing or something and take on the SSD. Oh hell yeah. Then go back to the reactor chase. Like XWA I think you should have to get in there, blow the thing and head back out, not have it automated and put you in the exit vector. THe only other thing is far more space missions like Kothlis and the Nebulea. Whew, those were some of the best levels EVER in any space game. Even Colony Wars has a hard time matching that. The sheer amount of fighters and fire going on just puts you through the paces. Okay, more to come. I assure you.

It does a bit, though that might just be lighting. Otherwise the screnshots look great.

The STAR WARS TRILOGY arcade game recreates the battle of Endor PERFECTLY, both on the ground and in space. It looks absolutely beautiful.

One thing I would like to see changed is the tendancy of TIE fighters to smack into you and kill you out of no where. "Bobbing" is what we called it on gameFAQs, cause we refered to the pilot of the kamikaze TIE as Darth Bob.

Not really. In RL, the capships were scaled accurately to the starfighters, with turrets and all. And there were easily a hundred starfighers and multiple capships. I remember a Neb B, two ISDs, a transport, and two blockade runners. And now with RL 2 or RS 3...whatever you wanna call it....the graphics had to have improved. If their next project was a capship simulator, I'm fairly certain they could get impressive results.

Yeah, that is pretty annoying, particularly if you had been doing great up to that stage, and had been aimming for the gold medal.

I've finished the game, it's incredibly cool- the reactor run in the DS2 is uber-hard. You play as Wedge.

I've never had a problem with this. As a matter of fact it tends to work for me, by getting them to run into each other, or slamming into a cap ship, or some other obstacle.

Have you done it with with the Falcon yet? It makes flying through with the X-wing seem like a cake walk.

Oh god. First off, bunny's right. The place you find it the most is at Endor admist the TIE Swarm. Holy shit, don't make hard turns. That's what the strategy guide says, and believe it or not, you almost never get hit.
The Death Star Run is fucking hard as Wedge because the Falcon is so much faster. The shitty thing is, if your the Falcon on the surface, you get your ass blasted. Once inside you about can't manuver that damn thing.

My only beef with RS2 is the fact I had to use that targeting computer way too often!
I wanna see all the eye candy! I hope they just put little targeting icons around different ships, like in X-Wing for the PC!
Wouldn't be true to the movie, I know...but damn..who wants to keep looking at green and yellow blobs?

That's most noticeable when you tail gate a TIE into a swarm.

I love the suicide TIEs. It's fun dodging them and flying crazy figures to evade them, right, left, up, and left, and then one's coming from above...... woooooooo

You used the targeting computer?!? LoL. You suck. LoL. I use it NOW that I have beaten the game, but I don't use it at all unless im just in the middle of some huge swarm. The score for Gold Medal gives you bad marks against using it.

That is so badass.
Though getting the advanced targeting computer is a nice step.

Just got my EGM which had a cover story on it. I'll do a quick summary:
•The terrain is 16x more detailed.
•the game will even model how light is scattered in atmospere and mentions Tatooine's twin suns setting in real time.
•Up to 120 ties can be onscreen at once.
•You can play as Luke or Wedge. Luke's game focuses more on the ground levels and Wedge's games has more flight levels.
•One of Wedges missions has him up agaisnt a SSD which he must destroy before The Empire equipps it with a cloaking device.
•Another of Wedge's missions has him crash land on Genonesis 40 years after AOTC. It's described as a world scattered with remains of Sepertist droids and Federation Core ships.
•The last portion of the Hoth level has Luke in his X-wing escorting a transport against hordes of ties. The mission also goes from Hoth's surface to space all in real-time and you can also dive back into Hoth's atmospere and still see the ground battle raging on.
• RSIII's multiplayer missions consist of all of the levels from RSII (even the bonus ones) and can be played as co-op or versuses.
•Last but not least they finally put in a bonus missions that was unfortunatly missing from RSII. We finally get to go up against the Executor itself in nothing more then an A-wing. It said that the mission can be completed like in the movie by ramming the bridge or if your skilled enough you can beat the level and survive but it was said that just getting to the bridge will be hell
Hope this helps

First and foremost, I need a clean pair of underwear now.

Cool, hopefully that will also be the same with exsplosions.

ONSCREEN! I mean in the area thats great, BUT ON SCREEN!

Well, looks like I'll be playin' a lot of Wedge.

*Precums*

Thats fucking awsome.

ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIGHTER?!?!?! DEAR MANIACAL GOD IN THE SKY WITH DIAMONDS!!! THAT FUCKING ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't comprehend the coolness. You get to take on a fucking SSD? Don't get me wrong, I hate it when people take that "an X-Wing can kill an ISD" shit too seriously, but god damn I MUST play that mission.
And you can fight the Hoth ground and space battle SIMULTANEOUSLY?! Oh my god I must get my hands on this thing!
ROUGE SQUADRON OWNS!

The exact quote for the TIE number is "The skies swarm with twice as many TIEs-up to 120-although they don't all attack. Most are for ambience."
I interpereted this would mean 120 onscreen at once, although I'm probally wrong.
But yeah this is going to be one fucking awsome game.
