Well I think the reason why it took so long to repair it was because the wanted to do it quietly and they saw little need until Thrawn. As far as the inconsitencey I don't know some authors are just Idiots. Got to go.

It was specifically stated in Destiney's Way that they had an SSD.

1) The Chimera had torps becasue it had been captured and refitted by the NR and they installed missile launchers on them like they did all their ISDs (See SW Gamer on the Anx for the source, I forget whish issue) SO as far as we know, the Chimear is the only Imperial ISD with torp launchers
2) It said missiles, the Chimera has torpedo launchers. THe Executor class does have missile launchers though.

It was salvaged and put to use as a NR flagship, and was involved in most of the fighting after Paplatine's rebirth.

Are you sure it was the Lusy mentioned in BFC?

Did you read what I wrote? I said that they had a single heavy commandship, i.e. the SSD.

In TCOPL, 2 of Zinj's Star Destroyers cruised in and fired a volley of missiles at the shuttle with the escaping Witches, vaporising it

Very sure i remember the NR shitting themselves over the Yevetha having not 1 but 3, it's commented on that the NR prefered smaller destroyers and that the only SSD the NR has captured infact (moderatly) was scrapped to get parts for smaller destroyers, when i'm up in my room later i'll dig them out and get the quote.

Zsinj had a number of Victory class Star Destroyers, which are also armed with missiles. However the Defiant could not have been a VSD because it is described as beating the snot out of 2 of the Vong equivlents of an Allegiance class SD while it takes a Bothan Assault Cruiser and a VSD just to take on their equivlent to an ISD.

It is obvious the Defiant is intended to be an Executor-class commandship.

Nevertheless, I find it hard to believe that some believe that even the stock ISDs had no missile or torpedo weapons.
